If 'quick cast' was introduced due to community feedback, /player 8 online is inevitable

Then you fundamentally misunderstand why people are asking for players 8.
Players 8 is a lazy fix for the incredibly poor drop rates in D2. When players ask for /p8 online, what they’re really asking for is a boost to item drops.
Since MF doesn’t affect rune drops, and every end game build revolves around runes, I would like to see something change.

quick cast is part of the controller input system.

in other words quick cast uses the same input system as the controller.
so all’s they needed to do was tap into it and make a UI for it then figure out how to activate the new skills.

So far we have seen lots of UI and Input system stuff.
Those features are built-in to game engines like Unity for instance.
but normally these guys use in-house tools and stuff for work flow and not unity lol

I don’t believe it was as much community feedback as a normal player would think - more like the marketing team advising the community managers to mention it to influencers who then make videos explaining how they want changes X_ to go.

if they did, I’d be nothing but a wall of spam from people asking for everything all the time.
Not to mention people asking for gasoline to add to a fire.

Oh no i didnt misunderstand. The drop rate increase was suppose to increase the party drop rate as a whole. I like the PoS drop rates, you slowly work towards your goal one piece at a time. I like the drop rate low so you would be grinding forever for an upgrade. You want players 8? you find 8 other players to play with that can also take your loot.

Also, when P8 comes to online, you’re just going to have to deal with it. I’d say its inevitable. I could be wrong, give it a year and I could see a patch adding it to drive up player retention and boost another wave of sales.

The fact is that online play is already only for players 8. Its not like there is any real socialization. Its either people going off to MF on their own (just to take advantage of players 8) or spamming baal (only a tad faster than just soloing it with good gear, not to mention solo you get all the loot yourself and can decide to kill baal or not), or doing things like cows (where everyone runs off in their own directions most of the time anyways or one or two overpowered players teleport around and destroy the whole map in 90 seconds).

What the game actually needs are levels of difficulty above hell, because hell is easy after a certain point. Its been easy for me since level 90, after only 2-3 levels of farming bosses in hell for loot. I can solo farm everything at 93 and do it almost as fast as it would be with 8 people.

Id love either a NG+ feature for hell where its just hell+ or new levels of difficulty entirely to account for the steep power curve. I crush everything as a blizzard sorc, which isnt even a sorcs most powerful build, and I dont even have the best stuff, or any true GG gear.
