Idea: new rare small charm event (more fun stuff and byebye Enigma)

Rare small charm (the character may only have one rare small charm in the inventory):
Pendulum
+1 random skill
(So it can be teleport, conviction, corpse explosion, etc. But all skills have the same rate of spawning. So a teleport charm will still fetch high price.)

Event
Imperius’ trial (with Tyrael acting as the mediator)
Multistage boss fight with the last stage a PVP challenge, so that the character has to be good at both PVC and PVP. In this challenge character’s magic/physical resistance is set at 50% to avoid everyone using a hammerdin. To avoid certain people raking in too many rare charms by trolling, Tyrael will have two options: to be a challenger, or to be a guardian. The challenger’s reward is Pendulum and the guardian’s reward is an ear. Pairing will be random.

I wonder if +1 FOH will make it any good in pvp. Also it’s single element build, so can be easily countered.
Worse thing can be lightning mastery FOHdin.

Didn’t realize that this post exists but not surprising that someone else had a similar idea. But fighting uber is “too easy” considering you will get both a torch and a +1 standard.
To Hanz:
I think mixing pvp and pvc may actually be fun. It stimulates new ways of setting up builds and forces people to explore, which can hopefully prolong the game.

and you seem to have read it wrong… you lose the torch and anni to create that charm, you also lose the ability to have those 2 charms in your inventory lol

I see. I didn’t read the post carefully. I think we converge on wanting to have more postgame content and a charm of +1 random skills.
I also want an arena like dark souls. :grimacing:

So MF endgame meta will be Find-item charms or Teleport charms.
In PvP it would be Conviction/Fanaticism charms I think.

Find item sounds pretty good.
Or mastery charms. I wonder if evade/dodge/avoid would give some chars some edge.
+Golem mastery would make metal grid iron golem useful after 2.5 patch.
