I cant believe how many of you are asking for changes

just going to point out… this is completely false…
you can 100% clear hell no problem as a fury/ feral werewolf without even using a single runeword, even in single player with no trading.
it wont be the fastest until u get a decent hell weapon, but… you can most certainly DO it.

and yes… before u ask… YES I have PERSONALLY done this…

soo yeah…
( hardcore might be a different story but screw that)

Exactly. There are a lot of games out there, you don’t have to like them all… but you certainly don’t need to buy a remastered version of an old game you hated, then get on the forums to tell everyone why you think it was terrible in the first place.

You are being a bit over the top here. I would argue 1.09 was the best, and it was the one to begin introducing immune mobs, though is was mostly limited to uniques/champs. However, 1.10 drastically changed and overtuned the game, with the carrot of ladder only content and overpowered runewords. It was still an enjoyable game, but a shadow of the fun it was before.

But I get what you are saying about Hell with the immunes. It pulls a lot of the build diversity, and turns it into a skip a good chunk of content to progress, or sit there beating on them with weaker attacks until Hell freezes over (over dramatic here, lol). I generally only seriously play Hell with a zeal/fana pally through both progression and farming. I’ll either self rush or pug rush other characters, and maybe farm 1 spot for awhile on each that they can do fairly efficiently.

Sounds like you should have been playing single player or with friends and avoided the online games then if you were having such a bad time of it. Couldn’t have been that bad though if you played consistently for 10 years though.

Completely agree with you. The QoL changes they’ve already announced are perfect, and other than major bug-fixes, they should stop there for now.

I completely disagree.

There’s plenty they can change without actually affecting the core game.
Speeding up or eliminating walk arounds is good

Agreed! Yes. Hopefully the only changes will have no impact. But they’d have to be super-superficial.

i’ll just leave this here… its from the D2R main page

“Classic gameplay—the same Diablo II you know and love, preserved.”

PRESERVED! Blizzard has already stated their intentions, they added a few QOL items so consider yourself lucky with that. Otherwise, if you didnt like D2 or dont think you will like D2… go play something else. The game is what it is and it plays how it plays and its been that way for 20 years so there’s no sense making it anything but what it already is. sorry to hurt feelings, but that’s how it should be.

Diablo 2 is a masterpiece, no need to change a thing in Diablo 2: Resurrected.
Best game of all times, that’s why D2 still exist 21 years after It got released.
And that is why we get D2R just with improved graphics. Don’t ruin that please!

Lemme just get KB/M support for console…don’t need anything else IMO.

I have to say 1.10 was the superior patch simply because of synergies.

Such a simple concept that is surprisingly lacking in so many posts here…

hey im just gonna go back here to shove something for those 4 people saying they would never change anything dramatic like skills etc.

they just stated about their alpha plans, and the possibilities about balancing etc in the future.

so, anything more to add?

When you say “just stated” when and where? Is it something really recent? If so, do you have a link?

i got it on reddit from my phone, i could see if i find it again.

I saw this link

Diablo 2: Resurrected gets a single-player alpha first, then a multiplayer stress test | PCGamesN

that reads:

"“We’re going to start with a single-player technical alpha, and then we’ll have a second technical alpha after that, which is kind of multiplayer and stress testing,” lead producer Chris Lena tells us in an interview. Both those tests will, of course, take place before the Diablo 2: Resurrected release date later this year. “But,” Lena adds, “that’s all we have for specifics.”

These alphas will, of course, start to shape the future of Resurrected. Lena says the door is open for things like balance changes to help keep the game vibrant for a modern community – if, indeed, players indicate that they actually want that to happen. Either way, that process starts with the alphas."

yepp was just about to post it, that was what i got it from. great news for those o have hopes for a even better game!

About Diablo 2 Resurrected [Remaster]

Diablo 2 fans know better than what Diablo 3 fans do when It comes to this game, who actually played the game since it came out in 29. june 2000.

Again. . .
This is a Remaster and not a Remake. This is still Diablo 2 with improved graphics, not a whole new game.

Don’t ask for more changes, go ruin Diablo IV instead with your terrible ideas.

  • No Personal Loot

  • No Stackable Gems, Runes or Keys.

  • No Higher Drop Rates or Exp. [Warning, do not mess with this]

One more thing, this is not a Diablo 3 clone either, but Diablo 2.

I am a diablo 2 fan who also played the first day of D2 release. I knew then and it remains true as I matured that I can see that D2 has room for improvement. Did you buy the collector’s edition?

Your argument is a logical fallacy.

Fallacies of Ambiguity: The “No True Scotsman” Fallacy (thoughtco.com)

If I claimed that only D2 fans who bought the collectors edition should be listened to, I would be a laughingstock for making such an absurd argument.

That is not what a remaster is all about. You and your kind will have MOD support to freak it out with your charm inventory, increase drop rates, rune and gem stacks to unlimited inventory, unlimited respects, skills changes. So stop complaining about OG players wanting the Devs to do what they stated they were going to do and that is keep it as original as they can and not change things that effect the game.
