this is exactly why i didn’t wake up early to play at 8 am. just woke up nice and slow, got myself a coffee and checked the forums before opening the game… i was not surprised at all. lmao

This stuff was to be expected. That’s why ladder isn’t available at launch. Pretty much all online games have issues when first starting.
They should let you keep the game and provide a refund.
They changed the CPU AVX requirements after the Beta, so many people who were able to play the Beta cannot even load the game.
I’d say this is a critical issue and their lack of disclosure points to negligence and incompetence.

You have absolutely no idea about server infrastructure or programming lol… Integrate an ancient game to their current cloud infrastructure isn’t that easy as you might think it is. every game or project is different, 20 years experience doesn’t means D2 Resurrrected launched 20 years ago.

I can assure you IT guys are working hard to balance the overload or anything happening at this moment. Everything is gonna be fine eventually it always happens with game launches, this is more than a regular peak time, everyone is trying to access at the same time, it puts a lot of stress to the servers, also unknown bugs not seen with a few players might show up, everything is on the table.

No. You must not understand how DDOS attacks work, they are distributed denial of service attacks.
Not denial of some service.
Not rollbacks, not character deletions. Not games not loading, not changing minimum spec requirements to play the game.
Chat lobbies still work, Other blizzard games are still working which also run off battle.net servers. If they were hit off, none of that would be functioning.
Also good luck hitting off a multi billion dollar company’s servers. Their protection would make your head spin.

LMAO so you want a refund due to LAUNCH DAY issues which happens with many games and many gaming companies. Yet, by next week you will just buy the game again anyways. Yeah. Makes total sense.
When you go to a restaurant chain that just opened a new one and order a steak; do you complain when it comes out cooked wrong? Or, do you just eat it and say “It’S tHeIr LaUnCh DaY”?

This launch is still smoother than the Challenger shuttle.
I’m saying to have a little patience instead of throwing a tantrum like a toddler and ragequitting just because things aren’t working smoothly when the game hasn’t even been out for 4 hours. However if being mad about it makes you happy, be mad I guess.
ppl impacted by the AVX issue should be mad - waste of a vacation day.
ppl impacted by character cannot create game have no right to complain as d3 launch was 8hrs so this was to be expected.
lol, ppl are always so ridiculous on launch days every game has issues now that everything requires connection to a server. just be patient and next time schedule your day off for a day or 2 after launch 
At this point, I would pay some of these people NOT to play.

where’s the dislike button? crying for refund on launch day. Show me a major game that has been digitalized that went without hiccups? Diablo 2 was flawless on CD due to the fact there was such a smaller community.
