They are putting ladder only runewords into non-ladder…
I want to refund the game.
I dont want to play d2 with an economy with over-saturated runewords. I thought this was going to be the old d2 economy, not every single person using grief and spirit and stuff… wtf?
You can initiate a refund through the Support system. This is a pre-order so refunds are fairly automatic if you qualify. Return of funds depends on your bank’s refund policy, but usually 5-7 days.
Support > Contact Support > D2R > Categorize Issue > Payments > refund.
The only exception would be if you got the bundle with D3 and played/leveled D3 chars. Then that would be considered used and seeing as they can’t split the bundle they usually won’t refund.
Jeez, what is with people and this? Wouldn’t NL end up saturated with them ANYWAY after a few seasons. What is the problem? That you can’t sell items to NL people for FG or something?
many of my friends want to actually play the game now with this change. (they hated the item gating and the reset , though some enjoy doing new ladders everytime for a fresh start like me and some of my others friends)
i’ll personally enjoy the game both in ladder (fresh start every laddder ) and NL (will be my chars/mule for holy grail )
i might play on self-found now that i think about it until holy grail is completed.
Why are a bunch of players surprised about this? This exact change was voted on and (Won) believe or not in the Reddit Survey that took place after the Alpha test phase.
How were you not aware?
I was pretty sure D2R would cater to casual players. It is what it is, I just hope they don’t do anything more drastic like this change. If drop rates change down the road I’ll be pissed.
you can’t get a fresh start without ladder considering a fresh start means everyone start anew , i emphasize on the word “everyone” here.
also , it’s not the only thing , ladder also has an increased difficulty compared to non ladder.
(and the lv 99 race which i don’t really care about personally but many does)
that being said i understand this change , considering they decreased ladder duration to 3 months , that’s probably why they changed it like that in the first place, to emphasize on the competition.
i’ll be too probably.
holy grail is interesting because of the current drop rates. if it’s increased , especially by a visible margin , it’s not as interesting (to me)
also , i consider diablo 2 a farming game , it would simply reduce the game’s longevity to me.
Changing droprates or introducing charm inventory would be the final straw for me. There has been several bad changes, but not enough for me to refund. (yet)
At this point I feel like I’m looking at two outcomes:
I try to enjoy an unfaithful, possibly worse D2 experience; maybe it’ll just be a game I keep on my Switch to play from time to time.
D2R completely disappoints, thus I play it for only a little while like D3 until I eventually return to D2.
Really looking grim, because I was looking forward to enjoying one of my most favorite games with modern support for the next 20 years. Now I might just have to hope old D2 is kept on life support.
Same. I didn’t believe it at first, It took arguing with Drium and some with Micro to see what people were asking for. Their arguments were later supported by the Reddit Survey. Which I indeed took. Though, at the time, I was still against major changes but I think I voted a few changes out of compromise. Because yeah, the casual market is just so vast, that Blizzard in some way shape or form, have to cater to them.
