Has anyone's suggestion made it into a patch

Not counting streamers, has any suggestion made by you normal people made it into a patch?

You act like the “community managers” and “developers” actually read these forums…

There was an overwhelming amount of support to remove the cow level restriction after killing the cow King… That happened.

I remember someone on this forum made a thread asking (or begging) for one of the runewords to also be usable in a certain item type and they actually did it after the PTR. So they do listen to feedback.

It only took 20 years :eyes::rofl:

Yep, Plague was only going to be available for swords but after people asked for claws (and to a lesser extent daggers) they changed it.

It’d be nice if this idea for the Standard of Heroes would get more support.

Even if it’s not that idea, something to finally put it to use. Right now a cracked sash is more useful.

The in game clock was suggested in the forums. Regular players were asking for console lobbies, most of the Druid Summon feedback from PTRs was mentioned in the forums (as well as Streamers), diminishing returns on stuns were mentioned here before the FHR changes, and more general stuff like balance changes in general.

they also expanded a few of the polearm runewords to include spears. And there is the barb throwing regenerating stuff too.

All those things you guys mentioned are streamer mentioned.

Point is… To the guys with your 50 bullet point change list because they aren’t good. None of them. Go make a mod for yourself instead.

Really, the only “streamer” that had HUGE influence in D2R from what I had seen, was Carbot, who is a youtube content creator primarily doing animations, and not a gaming streamer to my knowledge. His vids on the mercenary updates last year, pretty much encompassed what they did with the mercs. Enchant, Static Field being the two big ones I remember off the top of my head.

If we look at a rough timeline, Streamers were not really talking changes until after the 4000+ vote Reddit survey, with Llama being pretty much against it. I think he -slightly- changed his tune in his update video to it, but was still fairly resistant to change.

The Reddit Survey came first, then Blizzard launched their own series of surveys with the first right after the Reddit one (4/19/21), the second after Alpha testing, and the third somewhere around Beta.

Should Stash Space be increased (Reddit): While the question was geared toward increasing from OG LoD, the devs updated the space from 1 shared to 3 shared in the findings post Alpha.

Runes and Gems Stack (Reddit/Blizzard): High chance I believe in this happening for 2.5.

Quivers Unlimited Ammo (Reddit): Addressed in 2.4 by increasing stacks to 500 when balancing the increase of throwing weapons for Throw Barb balancing.

Should minor balance changes happen to make bad skills/spells more viable (Reddit/Blizzard): 2.4 says “Hi.”

Merc Balancing (Reddit/Carbot): 2.4

Modernized Spell Hotkey system (Reddit/Blizzard) 2.3 this happened

Loot Toggle (Reddit/Blizzard) Added before Beta with Alpha learnings

New Runewords/cube recipes (Reddit) 2.4

Cow Level Cow King Restrictions removed (Reddit) Revealed by Pez before Beta on Reddit.

Should the Nihlathak portal stay open after completing the quest (Reddit) Had at launch.

Clock display/Merc Pathfinding were in the Blizz survey,

Lots of these were discussed in the pre-launch forums, and lo and behold, have been added to the game. The community as a whole had set the direction for D2R, before even the streamers got too involved outside of circulating the Reddit survey like Rhykker did.

While I agree to a certain extent with this sentiment that some of this stuff has gotten out of hand, especially in the moments before 2.5 is revealed to us where we can actually give solid feedback and not caution thrown to the wind wish lists, if the point of your whole topic was to trash the community making suggestions by making some big reveal that changes to the game has all been at the whim of the streamers, then you haven’t been paying attention to the building blocks laid last year that everyone wanted to disregard as phooey or simply data collection for Diablo 4.

Blizzard already had a well documented, researched playbook to go by. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of of the points from last year come up.

Do you mean D2R or any game in general?
Cuz I got like a dozen of PoE patchnotes content coming from me when I was an alpha tester

Isn’t everything streamer mentioned? Granted I don’t watch them unless it’s for a nugget of info but they essentially just regurgitate ideas read elsewhere. They sift for comments and thoughts and while individual ideas are certainly possible they aren’t unique in any regard.

Hard question to answer given they aggregate info from everywhere.

Rumor has it all of Seks suggestions will be in 2.5

I think seks Zod rune idea should be implemented as a tribute from the devs to the amount of effort he has put in his posts for the last 1+ year.

I’ll second that.

Not sure whos suggestion it WAS TO REMOVE FHR and STUN mechanics from PVP, but we definately need to find out who wanted it so badly and why it was forced down our throats without any kind of feedback on the official forums. That one move right there instantly turned this into a diablo 3 clone with extremely low drop rates. Now they are trying to hybridize the game and turn it into a 8 player mf mmo. I havent seen any of these suggestions in the forums, but they sure did do it…

No one asked for it. That garbage was forced into the game without discussion.

Man, should allow insight to be made in spears as well, double your chance to find that 4os weapon for act 2 merc after you use up larzuk quest on crystal sword from cow level.

Yes
But not because I suggested it.
That’s not how it works.

A suggestion I made just so happened to be a change they made.

I’m not narcissistic enough to think they made the change because of what I said.

That’s just silly

I also wasn’t the only one saying it either.
