GoodBye Blizzard!

No… it’s more like someone is being punished because there are rules and they broke them. And there are also other rules that are more severe that people break, but this isn’t the same rule we are talking about. It’s actually sad that you carry this mentality.

You played for 18 years and didn’t know MH was against ToS? Like ok

I hate workgroups that use bots. just because they made server stuck.

for d2ers that never trade things ,like me, they doesn’t bother .

but if blizzard banned map assist but still keeping bots, that’s do sucks!

Doesn’t surprise me. I figured the game would be botted to Hell and back before the remaster launched. One of the highest reasons people fought like hell for getting some sort of personal loot system, was due to cheating, since pretty much all bots on OG were using auto-loot pickit scripts. Never underestimate the drive of cheating, especially in a game with open trade that can be rmt’ed, whether by actual real money or third party currencies.

After the ban news went out, the most infamous of these communities had tons of people with banned accounts paying FG for gifted copies. Personally, I hope our devs are realizing just how bad these systems are for normal players and update how multiplayer works in order to have meaningful party play.

what 's MH?
what 's ToS?

MH = Map Hack = Map Assist
ToS = Terms of service, aka the fine print everyone skips.

Next Ladder we will have a new and improved not maphack known as Map Reveal beta male alpha edition! Reserve yours now! And remember, if others say its ok then that must be true!

When I’m working and have a little time to play without using too much effort, I just do pindle/eld/shenk/clear wsk, no maphack required to do any of that…

Yeah, the biggest plus for maphack is summoner key farming. I suck myself at reading maps, despite having trying to learn how to identify map tiles in certain zones, however farming DKeys is easy to find, Countess isn’t too hard to find, Pits is easy to locate (even if you end up taking the wrong path back towards Black Marsh), Meph tele clockwise, Diablo is static, WSK go right from WP, Left from door from WSK2, 2.4 Arachnid right on waypoint, Trav council static, easy to find tomb for Durial doing Summoner key runs, etc. Tons of easy to farm spots without maphack.

No one calls it map assistance bro. Hacks aren’t generally allowed in games.

Generally speaking Blizzard won’t do this. This is especially true of Overwatch (either version) which uses hardware UUIDs along with the Battle.net account name to enforce bans. I haven’t seen any info on whether or not D2R uses hardware UUIDs for bans, but from the few posts I’ve seen where people bought a new copy using a different account but presumably kept the same hardware I’d wager that’s a no, for now.

That does leave open the ability for the OP to create a new account and get a new copy, but expecting Blizzard to remove a banned copy from a Battle.net account isn’t likely to bear any fruit as bans are bans for a reason - removing a banned copy of a game on an account that was flagged for a ban would defeat the purpose of the ban. Additionally, if Blizzard keeps a running database of banned accounts in a game, removing the banned game from the account and then having the user buy a new license may end up with the new license banned based on the account information in the database. This does assume that account info is used as the primary data point for a ban rather than the license key, but I wouldn’t expect much in the way of results in removing a license with a ban from an account. I’ve not heard of any company doing that before.

Eh, well I know they were able to do it with the original game, I figured they could do it with D2:R as well.

I suppose it’s worth a shot still, if not, as mentioned, just create a new Blizzard account.

The original game had license keys that were not associated with a Battle.net account. Even though the modern installers do use the newer 26 character Battle.net keys, the game itself is still using the old Battle.net 1.0 infrastructure and is not hardlocked to an account. D2R is, which is why this won’t succeed. For bans to be effective they must remain on the account. Otherwise it would be unbelievably easy to circumvent a ban with a simple request.

It isn’t a fun lesson to learn, but then again most “lessons” aren’t.

:tired_face:comlexity out of my range.
do u mean even i buy a new account, i still can not play the game, if still use the same PC my first account was banned?

You can create a new Battle.net account and purchase a new D2R license and be back to playing again. The only game that you cannot do this with after being banned is Overwatch, as that uses both the account name and hardware UUIDs (identifiers) to enforce a ban.

If you really want to play D2R again, create a new Battle.net account and buy the game again. It’s the only option you have open to you I’m afraid.

bye bye cheater!!!

we will be better without you!!!

and stop crying for cheating and get banned, you had what you deserved.
for people like you, games are worse and worse every day.

i hope we will never see you again here.

Another one bites the dust, and another one gone! YEAH!

Youve played for 18 years, allegedly, and you never thought a non Blizzard downloaded maphack was going to get you banned? LOL, see ya. :joy:
