Frequent Crashes

Getting multiple crashes, almost every other game.
Sometimes this will happen when changing acts, using WP, using TP, etc.

Half the time I don’t get an error report to send in & it’s just like the game alt+f4’d, the other half I do get the error report to send.

Are you using this overlay?

I have overlay disabled, it’s just in the background for voice chat.

Unfortunately, the crashes are very general and give no info about the conflict causing them. Some players found resolve in manually checking for Windows updates. You may need to open a ticket with the staff so they can collect more in-depth crash data.

Thanks for trying.

Sent in a ticket, hopefully they can get the ball rolling.

Did you export an MSInfo report and check the errors there? Or look at the Windows Event Viewer logs?

Yeah I exported dxdiag & msinfo report.

That’s good since you needed it for the ticket, but did you read it? There is an error section at the bottom of both reports.

Looking at it right now but it all seems to be general info.

Not much that I can go off of from what I can see. Each of the crash reports show something similar to this.

Nothing unique in the errors on the MSInfo?

Not from what I could tell, they all look pretty much the same.

Can you upload both to separate Pastebins and I’ll take a look? You can set them to expire in a couple days or whatever you’re comfortable with.

File size is too large for pastebin, unfortunately.

Edit: forgot DxDiag was above.

As for the MSInfo, cut of all errors dated before D2 release.

Here’s the isolated error reporting for D2R.

Did you remove errors between the D2 ones?

Edit: When’s the last time you shut down? The page file seems very large.

Page File: 24825MB used, 4192MB available

DxDiag was posted above:

I’m sure there were errors removed in between, the dates didn’t stay in chronological order the whole way, so I just grabbed all of the D2R errors.

It has been a while since I’ve shut down. I’ll give that a shot.

Yeah, I forgot, sort of bouncing around a lot of threads and updated my reply too slowly.

Iideally, I want to review the entire MSInfo. Do you have somewhere you can host the txt? You could send me a JustBeamIt link, too. https://justbeamit.com/

If not, you could clean the errors out with CCleaner (it has a specific checkmark for this) and try to reproduce them to get them in a new report.

I also noticed this, implying there is a security access problem with the game files:

10/1/2021 11:52 PM Application Hang The program D2R.exe version 1.0.498.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

You can open the Security and Maintenance control panel and take a peek.

It won’t allow me to post a justbeamit link.

justbeamit(dot)com/jgkh7

Try replacing the “(dot),” with a .

Maybe this will get around the filter.

For future reference, you can just post the link, highlight it, and click </> on the toolbar.

Also, you may have closed the browser/website before I could download. Please add another.
