End-game is EZ trash

Not in ten months no.

I only leveled the characters up until this summer.

This summer I started acquiring gear and playing all day every single day. I’ve spent probably 100+ hours this summer alone reading stats tables and map layouts and breakpoints etc.

In about two and a half months I got 15 characters fully geared without buying anything, that is correct.

I recommend a job

Even 20 hours a week

I bet that would be the biggest challenge of your life

I have one, a good one.

I have off in the summer. But boy, you really are showing your true colors huh?

I honestly don’t think P8 will make the game hard enough for you. Fully geared, P8 is still pretty easy depending on the build. I dunno if D2 will really satisfy what you are looking for. Even if something like P20 was introduced would clicking 50 more times on mobs make the game more fun?

People get creative with making the game challenging. Do the holy grail quest. Make unique viable builds. Do speedruns. PVP. Run around and only wear yellow gear.

Its about gearing a character and beating the quest storyline then pvping or quitting.

Its not an MMO. Its not supposed to keep going.

It seems so :frowning:

Which is sad because I truly loved my adventure. Leveling was (and still is I think) the most fun part of the game. Getting geared up was fun. Doing my first 20 uber tristrams was super fun.

But now its just like ‘what do I do now’? The only thing I can do now is get stuff with better rolls. Get +11%fhr/+5life instead of 4 life, or get a griffon’s with -20/+15 instead of -20/+13?

The game had a clear and definable direction up until this point. I have reached a point in the game where I am unsure what to do and simply killing mobs / farming is too easy (ergo not fun).

I think I will try wild builds like maybe a Zeal sorc or something. Idk. I would like to keep fighting monsters and getting slightly better gear but I want the monsters to be hard :-\ If there is no risk of dying it is no fun

Someone being concerned that you game all day every day is my true Color’s.

Even if you arnt working you should socialize

I am sure that came from a place of genuine concern! You were absolutely not talking down to me and treating me like a 2nd class citizen and you absolutely did not attempt to lowblow me.

Thank you for caring!

I know I’d be willing to pay for an expansion that filled in the 3 missing Act 4 Quests (probably means a few new areas), added an Act 4 Hireling, and perhaps included a new “Abyss” difficulty beyond Hell difficulty.

I mean, I don’t feel like paying for a balance tweak, that seems to me like support that should come with the game. But substantive new content I’d be willing to pay for.

Regardless of how you want to take it, there’s some good advice in there

Lol. Sorry, just lol. Dark Souls is challenging in exactly the same way Diablo 2 is challenging. As in, yeah if you’re noob, it’s gonna be challenging. But if you know the game, it’s not. At this point I can beat Dark Souls blind (almost literally). Can’t say the same for D2, I’d likely die at some point if I had my eyes closed.

Very confusing thread. Admits took 3 months to collect it all which is a lot longer than most modern gamers can sit still for and cries game is now too easy? Dude the challenge is to collect it all and/or PvP… go play HC if you really want a true PvM challenge… d2 game depth is fine, we definitely do not need d3 style end game progression…

You are correct.

The game is old enough to
Drink
Vote
Have babies
All min maxed builds are solved equations now
Etc

The remaster had updated graphics and some qol changes, a few specific build changes.

The remaster has not added any depth to a ‘solved’ decades old game that quickly became unsupported.

This is what it is. Do thousands of chaos, baal, pindle, shenk, Trav, etc

And/Or start pvping to extend the life of a game you love, despite pvp being JANKY

D2 was not designed with the modern mind set of ‘forever playable’.

Pay for service did not exist back then unfortunately?

Good luck and have fun!

In the old version of Legacy Mode, the 1.10 difficulty was harder than it is now.

It’s so easy now…there are more items but it’s simpler than that.

Go Hardcore if you havent already - you get to die and restart a few times along the way. Its something.

Agreed. Game is not really even fun for starters anymore because almost every skill destroys all content now.

I half agree. You get that magical start of ladder where everything is difficult and noone has everything. But then yeah… you log on, and then log off.

im a HC player, not into PK. Id love more content, New Ai. more challenges Id pay up to 20 a month to know bliz has a real team ( over 5 people working fulltime ( not PR and management) like real devs! to deliver on a timely basis. wishful thinking. but ill rant anyway because i love this game so much and its the only thing i play still.

I mean for the most part I’m a “no changes” guy but even I think there needs to be something like a Hell+.

I’d love to see a harder version of Hell difficulty unlocked after killing Baal where all zones drop the TC87 items, all act bosses are lvl 99, all super uniques at lvl 94 and everything has inflated health/damage, and maybe a few new mechanics. Then toss in an overall 10-15% drop rate/xp buff and call it good.

Give us something to make endgame a bit more fun, and the level 97-99 crawl a bit less annoying.
