what i meant was in SC its understandable how everyone ends up PVP at this point but in HC you really dont wanna (duel) aka lose all your items so more end game would be amazing! im frustrated cuz i know its never going to happen because of circumstances… $$

This is a great game and it could be even better with a few simple improvements.
In fact, someone already made the better game with all those improvements (Project Diablo).
All blizzard needs to do is put better graphics on it.
That’s pretty much par for every game. Not sure what you were expecting?
I can run around in Elden Ring with +10 weapons and mimic tear, flasks etc. on NG+ and just roll over literally everything.
Not much has changed in 20+ years of action based RPGs my friend.

I just finished resident evil 5 and a new difficulty unlocked called professional.
I just finished dying Light and a new difficulty unlocked called hellborne.
I just finished dead island a new difficulty unlocked called “dead”.
all of these difficulties are incredibly challenging, even with my fully geared up characters.
I just finished Project Wingman and a new difficulty unlocked called, nuclear.
I just finished Ace Combat 7 and a new difficulty unlocked called master mercenary.
Even with the best planes and BiS armaments, these difficulties are incredibly challenging.
Black legend, the feud, Witcher 3, Daymare, Blackthorne Arena, the list goes on and on.
I die multiple times each level with my completely geared out characters.
I can think of over 20 or ARPGs off the top of my head where you level up and get geared up that don’t have just 1 difficulty like diablo 2 does.
This is not the nature of ARPGs, just a minority of them.
Diablo 3 has infinitely increasing difficulty, why can’t this?
dude just play diablo 3.
you get a new difficulty when you beat d2 also. twice even. it’s just not hard anymore when you over gear for it. or play the easy builds.

I’ve played over 700 hours of Diablo 3 and I’ve said this numerous times, why do you keep telling me to play a game Ive already played for hundreds of hours?
And all those difficulties I mentioned, were after the HARDEST available, not comparable to normal or nightmare difficulty.
Diablo 2 really only has 1 difficulty, hell.
Normal and nightmare are solely for leveling. Completing them is not ‘finishing the game’
Diablo 2 should have NUMEROUS difficulties after hell, just like all the other games I mentioned do.

There’s a big difference in challenge between
SC:
Start new hero
Rush plz
Get to 80 in one day
Start farming with no consequence to dying
HC:
Start new hero
No rushes
Spec to be able to solo entire game
Die
Try again, learn from mistake, be a better player

The game can be easily improved upon, there’s no reason not do it. Why do you fight it so hard?

Either play the version of D2 that’s the most challenging or find a new game.

But you can’t advocate for a bigger challenge if you are playing the easiest mode

No, that was advised. I’ve also been playing d2 for more than 20 years or the remaster since release and don’t have that many good items. Which leads to the fact that the game does not bore me. But as quickly as you SUPPOSEDLY got all this high lvl stuff, I don’t think you found it yourself. You had help. And now you are surprised that the game bores you? Of course, it does that when you already have everything. Play hardcore, try something different except Java or trap assassin with crap enigma…
I don’t want the game to be changed just because people play Easy Mode and are bored.

If you are going to put yourself higher than the majority of the player base, you should attempt to explain why.
Why can’t I, or any other softcore main, advocate softcore have improvements to difficulty?

I’m not putting myself higher, you are assuming that I am and that does not make it true.
If you are going to advocate for softcore to be harder it needs to be balanced when it transfers to HC because they both run off the same balance.
