In an 8 player game, ploot advocates want 7/8 of good loot to go to others. That sounds like sharing to me. In FFA, one player can get all the good loot which is the antithesis of sharing.

This is not guaranteed, if it is doled out by random. Then there will be times when those that are not contributing will have a chance to get all of the loot. if it is by means of who contributes then you have a thunder fury zon that clears screen fulls with enigma clearing all of the screens which would mean that one player gets it all under your ploot rules.

Nope. That is not how ploot works. A player needs to be in physical proximity to the kill to have a RNG roll to get loot. In contrast, a player in an FFA game can wait in town and get all the leftover gear in your enigma example.

So if a boss drops 1-5 items everyone in the party gets 1-5 items at random.

Almost all ploot advocates are not asking for FFA loot to be removed from D2R, they are asking for the addition of an loot option.

Someone will in time if ploot is the almighty superman to the rescue that you are trying to sell it to Blizz as.

So if someone in some future time does ask for something potentially, that does not invalidate that is not what people in general want or being asked for. I have seen players who support FFA loot making threads about increased drop rates. Does that mean we should get rid of FFA loot? Of course not. Strawman/slippery slope
