Non stop bot spammers sending me messages trying to sell me fu@#king items. i cannot even leave the public channel in the remaster so there is nothing at all i can do to avoid the non stop spam. I have reported and muted every single bot i have seen to the point where it no longer even allows me to block people anymore. It would take 1 employee to monitor the game and ban these people. It’s fu@#ing ridiculous blizzard allow this in the game. I literally cannot even mute the spammers now so i literally cannot use trade chat because i have non stop bot spam.
The problem boils down to money.
In one corner, you have Blizzard…
It costs Blizzard money to control the problem. “The Suits” don’t like red ink… That’s bad in the eyes of shareholders and bad for “The Suits” bonuses.
In the other corner, you have people who set up RMT shops/run farm bots/advertising spam bots in an effort to feed off of players lack of patience and/or time to play the game…
RMT sites make money from the spam bots, so they have “the drive” to keep them running, circumventing any countermeasures Blizzard throws in their way. As long as impatient people keep paying for items, the problem will remain.
And on the side of the ring, you’ll find GREED, rooting for both corners, ringing that bell.
Yup it’s pathetic. Don’t buy d4. What’s the cost of a ber rune these days?
It’s kinda like having to listen your neighbors having loud sex on the other side of the wall, really difficult to ignore.
If you play on the switch you don’t have to worry about it at all
Ah yes by, Classic gameplay—the same Diablo II you know and love, preserved.
they meant all the negative things you ‘know’, like wretched server stability, mass botting, rampant RMT and spam … but also none of the good things you ‘love’ like the existence of a true LoD/Ladder version or any multiplayer variant that allows you to circumvent bottle-net or utilize the /players command.
Blizzard is complicit so basically Botting, RMT, and Advertising are allowed on Diablo II: Resurrected, a product the developers have no intention of finishing.
However, you are welcome to exist in the only form of multiplayer among these bot and RMT spawn. Because all other forms of multiplayer were, contrary to Blizzard’s advertising, stripped from retail. Enjoy your time in Non-Competitive Ladder.
They got their money, its about diablo 4 now …
They should at least review the spambots and ban them… still see those blocked spambots in lobby with their cute little X…
You insinuate they are different groups of people in different corners…
This game (drop rates, etc) and its business model (non subscription, ban-sale cycle) seem to me to be designed for RMT botters. I view them as business partners, possibly with a lot of overlap in personnel.
I doubt I will ever buy an Activision product ever again for the rest of my life.
In a situation where people work with each other as well as against each other, you’ll end up with two factions within the group. In diablos case, you have the cheaters, and everyone else.
Look at democrats and republicans.
The pattern is also in physics. If you drop an effervescent tablet in a sphere of water in zero gravity, the bubbles will eventually grow into two large polar bubbles until they eventually merge into one.
