Yeah I see that with Jedi’s comment now about the 18+ and no purchase necessary. Darn was hoping for the PTR.
guess we’ll find out on the 17th. I think it’ll be something like increased xp or loot drops??? Blizzard isnt really known for being creative unless that creativity is copied another game

Yupp it’s not a PTR than. 
Could just be Darkening of Tristram event for D3, or some other type of giveaway to honor the 25th anniversary.
As far as I’m aware July 17th is the default emoji and the 17th date was just coincidental.
Unless there is a way to change it on my phone that I can’t figure out.

Looks like the symbols around the skull are a repeating group of 9 symbols.
Question remains is what symbols are they? Sort of looks similar to the runic alphabet, but not quite.

The little “II” logo is actually part of the #HailDiablo hash-tag they are adding to their responses to folks who like the announcement post.
My guess, it’ll be related to the 25th Anniversary of the franchise in some way.

They have done it before in January. Diablo 1 anniversary is debated to be either early January or Dec 31st depending on the mood Blizzard is in.
The II logo seems to be related to the hashtag itself and isn’t specific to this announcement. So who knows, I’m guessing it’ll be something more generic related to franchise as a whole. Type of giveaway most likely, given the disclaimer.
