It does SAY that… but let me ask you something… regardless of what marketing text says, I employ you to use your own logic and judgement and to honestly consider what your definition of a MOD would be vs a REMASTER?
Here is my definition (which I don’t expect everyone to agree with, but that’s fine):
MOD = Modification of an existing game. Meaning the original game is still there but the MOD well MODIFIES the game to add additional features/functionality. This could be gameplay mechanics, graphics, etc… but the original game is still there.
REMASTER = Creating a brand new game from the ground up based on the older original game.
Personally, this is just a MOD. It should not be difficult to understand the difference IMO. It might be a very well done MOD, but it meets the spirit and intent of a MOD far more than it does a REMASTER.
What troubles me is that this “MOD” (call it what you want) costs either $40 or $60… which is quite expensive if you ask me. GTA V for example is being remastered from the ground up for the next-gen consoles and PC… and is going to be a FREE upgrade for those who bought the previous version.
