Searched around and it seems like there’s a hard no on a possibility of getting restored.
Put in three tickets, no response.
Couldn’t be more upset.
Wish they would make it like WoW where you type the name/delete when deleting a character and not just clicking a prompt.

Not going to get much love on this.
It’s a big red X and you just had to click it, and then confirmed it as well.
That big red glowing thing on top of the stove…Don’t do it.

Wow! Way to duck up. In my thousands of hours of d2 play, i have never accidently deleted a char. How did you manage to pull such a brain dead maneuver?

You make it sound simple when its not. If you’re playing on a gamepad and fat finger the A button you’re screwed. I pressed X and A at the exact same time and character was deleted so fast I didn’t even see the confirmation window.

How did it happen? I guess you clicked on delete and auto clicked on Yes. I concur. It has to be like in WoW. You have to type character name in a popup window to delete it.

More or less exactly what happened.
I was in the lobby, unable to join or create any games so I exited to the character screen in an attempt to refresh.
Still wasn’t able to join any games, decided I would relog.
Wasn’t paying full attention in the middle of a disc convo with some friends. Clicked the red X and prompt instead of clicking exit Diablo.

My question is do you have a life? With all the servers down issues how do you people get geared so fast? Do you play 10 hours per day? I mean seriously… get up from the keyboard its not healthy. How is a game even fun putting in that kind of time?

Sad, This is bad design of potentially dangerous option.
i can see how this can happen if ur using a gamepad so i think from now on i will use mouse to log in and switch to my gamepad when i enter a game

Was on a string of good luck.
Found a shako and an ohm from cows, made a cta.
Was looking towards making hoto and a vex dropped ~3 runs later.
Jah dropped ~10 runs later.
The best luck/week of my life followed abruptly by the worst mistake in d2 ever 
You realize it isn’t that hard to get levels and gear in this game right? People might claim it is, but it really isn’t. You can get to level 80 in 6-7 hours. Getting that gear isn’t as hard as it seems if you get a few lucky drops. I have been playing maybe 2-3 hours per night since launch and i have a level 85 sorc that has all of that minus the CTA, the torch, and HOTO (using oculus for the time being).

They want people to accidently delete their characters, so they can keep their engagement metrics up by rerolling, but they also have to balance that with their servers being offline to extend how long users keep playing (irl time not ingame time).
