Elation’s Shael rune yields Faster Hit Recovery, not Attack Speed(which is always on Weapons). As for Nature’s Kingdom, Mal gives Prevent Monster Heal(nowhere to be found), Lum gives +10 to Energy(again nowhere to be found) and seems incredibly cheap to have Concentration aura that’s stronger than Mist for far less. I won’t even bother commenting on the last one since its clear you have no fundamental understanding of runes and their effects in the first place(Indestructible on a Missile Weapon? Are you SERIOUS?!) :man_facepalming:

I don’t understand why people get hung up about this :man_shrugging: We see Hoto has Vex, Pul and Thul runes in it even though mana leech, damage/AR to demons and cold damage is useless for a caster runeword.

I’m sure there’s plenty of other examples where the rune effects don’t align with the item type or the runeword.

Hehe, decided to give this a go. Seeing as I’m a bowazon nutter, here we go.

Voodoo - 4 Socket Missile Weapon
Vex Jah Um Jah

  • 16% Chance to cast level 16 Amplify Damage when you Kill an Enemy
  • 6% Chance to cast level 6 Amplify Damage on striking
  • +1-3 to All Skills (varies)
  • +20% Increased Attack Speed
  • Adds 63 to 66-93 Damage (varies)
  • Ignores Target’s Defense
  • 7% Mana stolen per hit
  • +25% Chance of Crushing Blow
  • +25% Chance of Open Wounds
  • Drain Life -15

Notes:

  • This hopefully creates a decent Uber farming bow, or at least better than the available options currently out there
  • Kind of an under performer in players 1 but great for solo players 8
  • Helps fill the hole for bowazons being not so great against bosses
  • Has a running speed boost, which balances out the current fact that she’s the only melee class that doesn’t get faster run/walk from any skills yet needs it the most
  • Varying stats are significant for a 2 Jah investment on each roll. If it’s a BiS item over faith, it’s because it’s a larger investment
  • Drains life, thought that’s a nice touch

I like this mod idea! Makes charges viable while not being OP for gambling.

I got hung up on a Zod rune in a Missile weapon because it doesn’t make sense whatsoever. Bows/Crossbows have no durability to begin with, hence they never degrade or can never break so making them “Indestructible” is a complete and utter waste of a Zod rune. Even if Hoto is a caster weapon, those melee attributes can still be utilized if a player wanted to(not advisable but still an option). What benefit does a player gain with Indestructible on an Indestructible weapon?

On another note, Madness runeword isn’t half bad. For the cost of 2 high runes though, it’d make sense to have ctc proc’s or one to two more attributes. Say +1 to Burst of Speed(for a mobility/attack speed buff), Faster Cast Rate(to make it appealing to high FCR builds) or Vigor Aura(level 15-20) for insane mobility.

No one is going to do that though. Even if you wanted to try that, your damage and attack rating would be so low, it would be pointless.

Furthermore, if making a Breath of the Dying bow happened to be a best in slot option for a bowazon (it isn’t, but that’s not the point), the fact that it requires a Zod is an irrelevant factor.

Another example is 3 Jah runes in Last Wish. Only the first Jah rune carries the ignore target’s defense benefit, the subsequent Jah runes don’t add any benefit other than to complete the runeword.

So the point is, the end item generated from a runeword matters, not the individual runes used to get there.

Way overpowered. Creates a BiS option for any fire based melee character especially a bowazon, and doesn’t use any runes Um or above.

I have been thinking a runeword for something like this, but anything that adds +fire mastery needs to use a high rune, and then lower resist proc, -enemy fire resists and large fire damage all are high rune territory.
