Sounds good! The Ravens are the gimmick why you would use is. CB helps, but I would assume it still won´t be the weapon of choice to butcher through masses of enemies. I could see this beeing used on an off meta sorc and maybe a Necro (does Summon resist affects ravens?). A Druid would not use it since it is limited to +3 ravens here. Could we additionally add +2-3 to Ravens (Druid only) on top to make it more interessting for Druids? Or is that not working in combination (would result in 3+2-3 to ravens if this is possible). This would be interesting. However this version is much more appealing imho!
I think the main case for using this weapon is melee magic finding. So I think this weapon needs to rival Ali Baba, so we should give it a static 100% MF. And as this weapon is a quick base with 40% IAS, buffing the Lightning Damage is a must. I think changing Ravens to o-skill is not needed, and would rather buff level and charges as shown below…
Nobody likes charges (except maybe 10 minutes lasting enchant charges) Make it an oskill, since it can’t be a swap option! Nobody is going to be hurt here
True, but we don’t want to change all items to o-skills either, I think keeping charges on some items maintains flavor and closer to original design. We buffed charges on Spellsteel, this item should get same treatment. Just my 2 cents.
So you would leave RCD and All attributes and add -100% req? Anyway fine for me Plague reduces it much more and for the party. So why not…
Great as discussed! One more (and last ) idea. It´s kind of a frequent find. And the “only” roll is on ED. What would you think about adding a roll to ravens (as the most important stat)? Maybe lvl 28-32? Would keep people motivated to pick those up, even I you have already one? But not important, bottom line
I guess we talked about improving LAEK even to 7-12 since Bash is still bugged to have it a bit more defensive direction?
Great
I guess we talked about reducing mana to -100 to make it less desireable to wear it on your char. We also could add +5 to max poison res (even without the Gul)? The little boys often fall from poison, more than from cold dmg?
I see where youre going. And true clubs are not well represented. Buten opening up this for clubs (easy to aqcuire, and very early) would lower the value of several (newly buffed) Exceptional 2h staves and clubs as well? Using it in a club and combining it with a new Splendor, for sure with a Lidless would be in almost all cases the obviously far better choice (for cold based themes). The limitation to a 2H staff would only affect anything if you found a real good base (niche case, clubs would be not). So do we want that really? If we would restric Barbed clubs (3 OS, lvl 20) to only 2 OS, then only a lvl 42 Tyrant club would do the trick a bit later). If maces apply as well, a lot more early options would be available.
I’m still getting the same error for the first post and can’t update OP. I did submit a ticket to Blizzard support and awaiting on final resolution. They did mention this seems to happen mostly to posts that are months, if not years old.
Just the OP, but I’m thinking we may need to retire this thread and just move to new thread by transferring all content. Waiting on Blizzard support response before proceeding. I think its the age of the thread that is causing issues.
Still awaiting on a response by Blizzard support, but about Frostbite, I do like the idea of a cold-themed Club Runeword. Gives more value to Tyrant Clubs and Barbed Clubs, which don’t see much use and would probably be used mostly by Druids. I would not expand to maces as they already have plenty of options. IMHO, impact to uniques would be minimal.
That would probably mean that sorceresses would most probably use a club as well to be able to equip also a new Lidless, new Visceratuant or new Splendor shield. But so be it. It´s a mid lvl item and as long as we keep it significantly below a HotO that would not cause any late game problems or even for LLD. And if you find that gg 3OS 2h staff with sick mods, that might be better in the end. So why not.
What about the others?
Piety -100 mana instead of -50?
Bloodtree Stump with LAEK 7-12 instead of 5-10?
Cranebeak with a roll on the lvl of ravens (28-32) instead of only ED with a roll?
And a polearm we haven´t spoke about yet.
Husoldal Evo
Unique Bec-De-Corbin
Two-Hand Damage: (53-59) To (253-287)
Required Level: 44
Required Strength: 133
Required Dexterity: 91
Durability: 55
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+160-200% Enhanced Damage
Adds 20-32 Damage
20% Increased Attack Speed
+200-250 To Attack Rating
Prevent Monster Heal
Replenish Life +20
A frequent find, but in the current state just mehhhh. Since we have a good selection of polearms already, I would not go wild on this one. PMH is not usefull for any chars (but for several indeed), but that´s ok, if it remains a just mediocre item.
But I could see us giving it a biiiig boost in IAS from +20 to +80. That way you would hit the second highest BP at 75% for an A2 merc just with the weapon and would only need another +45 to hit the highes BP (Treachery at lvl 43 would do that for e.g.).
If we additionally increase the rep life from +20 (+1.94 life/sec) to +40 (3.9 life a sec, maybe as a roll) that would kind of a merc weapon.
The super high IAS, but not super high dmg output for lvl 44 could be interesting to test with equip with CtC on strinking maybe?
Agree, these are all good ideas, except Cranebeak should stay charges, but significantly buffed (Spellsteel treatment).
I like your ideas on buffing Husoldal Evo, but would also bump ED slightly. But thinking we should add very big ranges to keep hunt for the perfect one…
