You do know that you can make a non-expansion character, that doesn’t have act 5, and get to the next difficulty from the daiblo quest, right? Once in hell, convert to expansion. It’s not a glitch to get credit for baal quest, every other quest does this, it’s actually ancients that’s glitched, the odd one out. Nobody’s making you rush or get rushed bud, play through the game if you like.
And for the record, @Blizzard the community overwhelmingly dislikes the change to the travincal quest. The maggot lair was the most disliked zone by far, until now… now that we all have to go to that forsaken sewer in act3.
NOBODY CARES for this bump to next difficulty. It doesn’t affect my game play. Those who don’t like lvl20 in Chaos of Hell difficulty just can restrict lower levels from joining game.
why exactly does a level 9 need exra skill points when there is not really much of any skills to put them in and also rushes typically do not include skill and stat quests.
Act 1 Den of Evil 1 skill point per difficulty 3 skill points total
Act 2 Radament’s Lair 1 skill point per difficulty 3 skill points total
Act 4 The Fallen Angel 2 skill points per difficulty 6 skill points total
Act 3 The Golden Bird +20 life per difficulty +60 life total*
Act 3 Lam Esen’s Tome +5 atribute points per difficulty +15 attribute points total
*Keep in mind that the jade figurine will only drop if the player that kills the first unique monster in act 3 needs to complete the quest
Technically there is 1 more important quest and that is the Prison of Ice quest in act 5 as that gives a +10% all resist from each difficulty for a total of +30% resist all
technically it is a glitch as you are not even able to enter the areas beyond the Arreat Summit until you complete the Right of Passage quest therefore you cannot enter the Worldstone Chamber to talk to Tyrael after Baal is killed which should be the actual way to complete the Eve of Destruction quest. Keep in mind that a glitch is anything that lets you bypass the intended progression. This glitch allows players to bypass a quest that is required to enter the area in which the quest you are comleting takes place
Because some chars have their power mainly from skills, while others from +damage jewels.
And yes you definitely have skills where to put points.
We dont talk only about 9 here anyway, same applies to lvl 18

What is positive outcome about the change? I dont see anything. It seem to me that you just want to dictate how should others play the game. You dont want to grush? Then dont , but dont bither others who prefer it.
The oucome for patching this is players not being able to have low level characters in higher difficulties and actually making players be required to level grind to complete the Right of Passage and Eve of Destruction in the order that they are intended to be completed as you would not be able to just get credit for Eve of Destruction unless you are in the Worldstone Chamber at the time Baal dies

it actually grants no advantage at all as you are using a glitch to bypass the developer intendid progression through the game. by the way if you get to level 18 for lowlevel duels what is wrong with going up 2 more levels to complete Right of passage before killing Baal as that makes you level 21 and allows your character to access nightmare via the proper quest progression

And you are mistaken. Level requirement was added because people were abusing xp gain on ancients on low level characters. Its designed like this. Its working as it was intended actualy. Just some people started calling it a glitch where there really is not glitch at all. Its how quest system works in multiplayer. Some quests are completed without being present and most quests is skipable.
Why do you think you can rush level 1 to hell on classuc and tranfer to skip ancients? Or even baal quest? Its designed to be skippable.
Because thats the level bracket people duel. Based on skills and equip options.

What is the point of having a qust that completely block access to the area where another quest takes place if there is a glitch that allows you to bypass that blockade and complete the quest that you are unable to access the area for?
This needs to be patched as it allows you to bypass the quest blockade set by the devs so therefore you saying that quest rewards are needed from higher difficulties says that you should be required to complete Right of Passage in order to get credit for completing Eve of Destruction because Right of Passage completely blocks access to all areas beyond the Arreat Summit and Baal is beyond that area so therefore you should not be able to get credit or killing Baal unless you have first compleed the Right of Passage quest
Basically what you and anyone else that is against this glitch getting patched is saying is that the Right of Passage quest either should not exist as a blockade or should just be an optional quest not a required one
Why do you care? The only thing that this would change is the amount of people doing classic rushes instead of regular rushes. It has been in the game for forever. A2 shouldn’t be blockaded by the staff or act 3 the flail. We’ve played the story enough, let people rush to the content they want to enjoy. If you want to sit through the story for the 1000th time because perhaps you can’t remember it cool, but why care if someone else wants to bypass it.

I am saying that this should have been patched when the game got remastered as generally when a game gets remastered glitches and bugs get patched so the game feels different from its original version and I also tried to get this patched shortly after it was discovered cause I beleive that if you design the game with a quest that blocks entry to the final area(s) that you should not be able to bypass completion of that quest in any way as you should have to be in the Throne of Destruction when Baal dies to get credit for the quest.
I also know the same bug exists in act 2 for the 7 Tombs Quest but I do not care about it being used in act 2 as that is not the gateway to the next difficulty level and it also does not enable TZs in any difficulty. Duriel is also likely the hardest boss in the game due to his damage and extremely high defense along with the fact that he has the Holy Freeze aura
Allowing layers to get credit for killing Baal without first completing Right of Passage defeats the purpose for that quest blocking access to the Worldstone Keep, Throne of Destruction, and Worldstone Chamber. This bug allows players to bypass a quest that is required for access to the areas past the Arreat Summit and Baal is in this area so therefore it makes use/abuse of this bug cheating and by the way abuse of game bugs, glitches, and exploits is technically a violation of the Blizzard, Diablo 2, and battle.net Terms of Service (ToS) agreement which blizzard does not truely seem to care about in this case

People just like doing things the easy way instead of the developer intended way that is why people do not want this bug patched. Patching this bug would slow down rushes more than the extra quest requirement in act 3 and I also want that patched out as it takes way too long to get Khalim’s will to smash the stupid orb when the blackened temple is the real test before the Durance of Hate and Mephisto not the dumb side dungeons in Spider Forest, Flayer Jungle, and Kurast Bazaar these three areas are just time consuming to locate and the Flayer Dungeon is annoying to explore a bit less if you can teleport
