So what your saying is you played it legit… never been rushed or helped, never used an exploit or a glitch.
Btw people dont rely on glitches they just do it if its available. Yoi still have to level up to gain exp from groups.

quoting the wrong person much? considering your next response just explains why rushing is a normal thing to do.
Remember when you could level to 90 in like less than an hour in Uber Tristram? They should bring that back ![]()
You mean swift eh? Or I’m confused.
Edit: I think it should be fixed because it’s an obvious checkpoint, exactly like khalims, or the staff. If you were meant to allow a Shepard to allow you into places then the quest you just completed, or skipped was already done, but it’s not.
It’s the only hard lvl cap in the game, why even have it, if you don’t need to follow it.
Anyways, I would ask why you want it. If it’s so a low pvp char can access hell for transfer/trade/fights then a new pvp game choice would be better. Locks you to town only, and only if a character of yours has completed hell. Or something more in line with logic.
this must have been fixed fixed cause I am trying to beat nm baal already beat Right of Passage and the quest is not completing when I stand in town 2 times someone killed baal that needed the quest while I was in the act 5 town did not send me a portal and I did not get the quest even though I can go to the Worldstone Keep
by the way swift a rush is act 1 - act 5 in the same difficulty, Act 1 normal - act 5 hell is called a glitch rush (grush) as it uses a glitch to bypass completing Right of Passage in normal and nightmare. A standard rush requires you to level grind so you can complete Right of Passage before Baal and A grush allows you to bypass Right of Passage and still get credit for Killing Baal
How about they just make every single quest required and in order to advance. That will surely be fun, right?
Lul… you realize you still don’t have to complete Khalim’s Will right? Just join literally any game with the quest done and walk down to the WP.
Man I’ve leveled hundreds of characters over the years, 1/2 or so of them solo, the others rushed. Frankly by this point in time I just don’t find questing/leveling particularly entertaining. I just want to get a character 75-80, toss on some gear and go grinding for runes with a different button. Then use those runes to make a new character to grind more runes with yet another button.
It’s not like it’s even hard to do it solo… it takes an “moderately skilled” person 6-12 hours depending on the class to solo the game. Speed runners can do it faster but either way it’s a drop in the bucket regardless.
Why do you care? This is how majority of quests in diablo 2 works. I know people call it glitch but its really not. Others quests works like that too.
And by “fixing” it, you will do more bad then good, not only people will not be able to rush mules, but you would not be able to rush low lvl pvp chars also.
There is also method on classic covert to lod so there is no damn reason to change it. It would only complicate things for players who want their chars rushed for various reasons.
In fact, you dont have to complete any quests at all in act 3 online with exception of killing mephisto.
So you decided to play solo and because you have to do it, you want to force it for everyone else. Dont force others into something you think is right. Let others do the decision.
Zax as for acts 2 and 3 I am not really too worried about as they are only a bridge between acts not between difficulties. Technically if they patched act 2 you would have to complete Tainted Sun, Arcane Sanctuary, and The Summoner in order to get credit for The Horadric Staff and Seven Tombs basically 3 quests that block all access to the Canyon of the Magi and the 7 Tombs of Tal Rasha. As for act 3 all they need to do is make it so you can only enter the Durance of Hate if you have completed both The Blackened Temple and Khalim’s Will. I am not asking to patch for acts 2 and 3. I would actually rather them allow access to the Durance of Hate after completing The Blackened Temple not Khalim’s Will.
The Right of Passage (act 5 quest 5) Is designed to be a blockade between difficulties by completely blocking access to the Worldstone Keep, Throne of Destruction, and Worldstone Chamber. What good is a quest that blocks all access to an area if players can just bypass the blocked access with a bug in the game to get in the next difficulty without level grinding to complete the quest that is blocking access to the area where the final quest in the difficulty takes place. Patching this would make players have to level grind a bit to be able to complete each difficulty. By the way the level grind also does not take that long as you can level fairly quickly in certain areas depending on your charcters level.
By the way I Level grind and play with others while doing it as having other players in the game grants more xp. Glitch rushing is the lazy way out as you are just getting a high level player to do all the work and send a tp from the objective location
I also enjoy the short grind for levels cause then my character is able to kill on its own in the next difficulty level and does not have to depend on others to kill everything
Also if players would quit being lazy and walk the acts they would not care about this getting patched. Getting rushed/grushed is just players being lazy. Walking the acts you are level 20+ by the time you make it to Right of Passage in Normal, level 40+ by the time you get to Right of Passage in Nightmare, and level 60+ by the time you get to Right of Passage in Hell. I know this from walking it both playing solo and with other players willing to walk. Your level is of course a little higher in coop than in solo play due to the xp bonus with additional players.
As for mules they do not need to be in hell to trade. This is the purpose of having the 3 shared stashes to give you enough space for items you want to trade or transfer to another character therefore you can just put the item you want to trade into the shared stash and you can trade it no matter what character you are playing on at the time
As for converting from classic to expansion you would still be required to complete the expansion requirements to access the higher difficulties and who plays classic Diablo 2 anymore as far as that goes just remove the option to create classic characers in D2R seeing as it is technically a remaster of the Lord of Destruction expansion not the original Diablo 2
I miss the old days before 1.10 when all you had to do to rush was kill the last act boss. Much quicker and got to the part of the game that matters.
SCERVICHE Right of Passage was technically a required quest from the release of the Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction expansion set it is just this bug allows it to be completely skipped. Most players that skip it never go back to complete it
Veteran D2 player here, built my first PC just to play it. Grateful for the remaster of it as well. Now to the ugly part.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, who complains about the level 1 glitch rush into hell, is an entitled, privileged, spoiled, gatekeeping putz. In all my years of playing D2, even with 2 computers doing the glitch rush, this has never impacted the game, gameplay, or mechanics.
People like this are just petulant toddlers throwing tantrums because they can. So what if someone glitch rushes? It has never affected your gameplay, never ruined your game experience, why complain about it?
If anything, Blizzard is the one who benefits since you need at least 2 copies of the game. And don’t spout that nonsense about selling ladder items in websites, again, people spend their money the way they want.
Focus on the problems that ACTUALLY compromise gameplay, rather than your pedantic tantrums and whining.
You are free to enjoy the slow repetitive storyline all you want. Some of us want to get to the real stuff quicker, sure you’re 3 months into ladder and still are rocking a smoke and ryhme, the rest of us we got stuff to do and the storyline isn’t great enough to sit through multiple times per ladder.
Why necro this…
Plus you don’t need 2 computers (not to mention it then becomes a pita to find a bumper sometimes), most people who get grushed use d2jsp to form groups and the rusher pays for a bumper.
I agree though that there are indeed a lot of cry babies on this forum who shouldn’t play this game…the amount of whining over how this game has been for 20+ years is astounding, they all knew what they were getting into with d2r…
Who died and made you king to dictate how others play their game… not trying to be moron here but you get what i mean.
But act 3 has the most compelling quest in game, the Compelling Orb! You must experience this quest in all of its glory! Or simply join a random game with the quest complete then get the waypoint and make a ng!
OP is absolutely correct. All Act bosses should be locked behind a level requirement.
Yea forcing act 3 one of the big reasons I couldn’t get into D2R. They said they weren’t going to screw with us or make changes to the game and yet here we are in 2023 w/ them patching and ruining all of the old stuff about d2 and literally nobody complained about. D2R is a huge fail.
You know nobody is stopping any of you from slowly walking (not wearing enigma) and going through the story line slowly (not using glitches to bypass any quest) or slow leveling (not using any higher level character to farm XP for you). Yall are free to play as slowly as you want. Meanwhile other people who are good at the game are free to play at a much faster pace because they can handle it. And when you’re busy making your next thread QQing about them having an enigma and you’re still stuck on a 15 defense lore helm, please remember they’ve played more of the game than you have even that is why their characters, abilities, levels, skills, items, knowledge is all better than yours.
they left this one and they absolutely should keep it. It would be a mistake to remove glitch rushing.
