After many hours put in playing, getting my char up to level 62, I log in today and I’m level 5… This is not acceptable. I’m truly disappointed. I’ve been a loyal blizzard customer all the way back to diablo 1, playing all diablo games, warcraft, wow, hearthstone, overwatch… etc… I’ve never had a problem like this. If my character is not able to be restored to where it was yesterday, I would like a full refund of the game on both platforms. (i purchased it on PC and PS4 to play with friends).
wow… from level 62 to 5… that’s a bit of a drop. Sorry to hear about that, and good chance you won’t get ur character/items back. This is what blizz told me about missing items/characters…
yea this one really hurt. pretty demoralizing. don’t think i will be playing anymore at risk of this happening again. my plans for playing diablo 4 are probably off the table as well.
Lost a few hours of gameplay for online d2res character. Completion of quests, waypoints etc. Basically like those hours never happened. Playing feels futile if this can happen, not at all enjoying redoing the (quite tedious) quests either. I tried to consult the guide for handling such issues, but that only talked about turning my char file so it was not read only. I cant find that, and I doubt that it is stored on my PC, since I cant find online chars when battle.net is down. So I fail to see how that would be a relevant solution.
So I came here looking, and ran in to sono’s MUCH worse version of my snafu. Damn. I feel for you. I also kinda stopped playing for now. Will wait until this is fixed before going back and playing… Just too demoralizing.
