Logged in today and my lvl 76 paladin in hardcore has vanished not on character select nothing. Can you tell me what has happened to this character? Characters name was Korsk

My lvl 86 necro gone too. With a lot of good items and runes. Ive finished a run, then exited to the main menu so I can start a new run, at first theres was my necro all naked, and when I tried to enter the game it said my character is not existing. Then I restarted the game and my character is now gone ! wtf???
Most are having their chars just gone gone, however if you are lucky then it might come back after the dust settles. Here is what blizz told me about missing chars/items.
Every time my sorceress dies, her strength decreases to 146 and I’m unable to equipment my spirit shield, which requires 156 strength.
Why is this always happening? It’s frustrating!
