same here. One of the article says need to wait for 1 hour bcos the character stuck, but i have been waiting more than 1 hour and the the toon still not appearing.

Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. Support is unable to restore lost characters or progress in any situation. Record the disappearance of the character for 6 days to see when it can be solved or never solved 
Diablo 2 remake, the online character is lost, ask for help to retrieve the character, there is a connection to the Nintendo account, the character was originally created on the switch, and then played on the computer side, now the computer and switch side characters are gone

Its still happening. Lost my 78 sorc today…
My character level 30+ missing for more than 24 hours now. This is unacceptable. I want my money back.
If i accidentally deleted the character, it will be my fault. But my issue was, the server kicked me out for unknown reason, then when i relogged, the character went missing. what BS is this? I want my money back.
Confirm this still happens for PC accounts.

Ну что, посоны, улетела только что моя хелл сорка 90лвл с фул эквипом, шако, окулус, мейджфисты, вайпер, кольца, рунворды, гид чармы итд. Сохранить и выйти - а в ростере её уже нет. Все танцы с бубном, логины/перелогины/регионы итд естественно не помогли. Куча времени и нервов в трубу. Это просто нонсенс, товарищи. Что УКА ЛЯЦЬ происходит, мне кто-нибудь может ответить??*!!!
My HELL Sorc 90lvl just disappeared with full equip, shako, oculus, magefist, vipermagi, rings, high tier runewords, charms etc. WHAT THE F IS GOING ON>!!!

Local PC character here. Saved/quit. Now the character doesn’t appear in my list, even though the files are there in saved games (Windows).
Not cool, Blizzard. This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP.

Hell level 68/69 sorc missing in action. Played yesterday. An hour later the character was gone. Had all of my runes etc. on it (not shared stash). The shared stash remains at least, but was only some set items etc.
I made a forum post, but will share here also. Missing lvl 75 druid with literally all my best SSF items on him. Exited the game yesterday, 10/6/21, upon re-opening the game the character was gone. Would be awesome if this 21 year old ‘remastered’ game didn’t randomly delete 10’s of hours from peoples lives.

Lvl 21 Amazon gone, just played the char, quit logged out, came back 20-30 mins later to play again, can’t find the character! I had some unique items.
I play online, B-net.
Logged on today to see my offline barb was gone. They said they fixed it but obviously not.

No response from anyone from Blizzard. My friend just lost his geared mf sorc with even more in his stash. He is walking away from Blizzard for good after years of loyalty for most games, and I don’t feel like playing without him or have my character deleted just like his. Any acknowledgement of this issue or anything you are doing to fix may keep me playing, but with so many reports of this issue with so much wasted time between all users who have experienced this issue is not giving me any reason to continue or continue to play any Blizzard games for that matter moving forward, especially if my character / time can be deleted at any point due to a fault not of my own. Sorry for the rant, but I’m truly disappointed by the lack of support and care from a company that I have been a long time customer of.

Sorry to see that this amount of people are effected by such a horrid issue. I did get a response from blizzard and wanted to share. Still crazy to think they didn’t plan for something like this… No backups or anything… I would have had like 3x backups haha.
