It would be cool if they had an Elemental Mastery skill that added AOE Elemental Damage to their hits and had synergy with Natural Resistance.

Hmm, my barb isn’t bad at all.
Perhaps you don’t know what you’re doing? If you would like elemental aoe damage allow me to recommend EVERY other class.

The barbarian build you should have went for was the beserker.
Strip the chaff away with terror, and smack the only thing in the crowd that matters.
You probably went with whirlwind.
the point is that gear is insanely expensive. Good luck with barb solo. You get 1 build, singer. 3verything else is a waste of time.
There is a reason most people don’t roll a barb at the start because they are weak without the most optimized gear
Act 4 is a complete nightmare to solo compared to Paladins.
Gear is insanely expensive for barbs to put them on a level playing field with some of the more OP classes.

my lvl 58 barb was put to shame in act 4 nightmare by a 38-39 sorc

Wait until you get into hell with a mediocre geared barb.
Most players start with sorceress and farm MF gear as most of the other specs are completely unviable until you pump enough runewords into them.
Even arguably the best PvE class hammerdin is far from its full potential until you get enigma. Before enigma they are complete trasg

There are many many QoL and balances thay Blizzard can implement to make overall player experience more enjoyable.
Early game mana cost/pool need to be adjusted so its not just a snoozefest for the first 30 levels.
Stamina is honestly a joke at lower levels.
There are soo many changes that can be implemented before we even go into class balancing.
End of the day, making these changes wont make any money for Blizzard so it will probabaly never done.
The way Blizzard has handled WoW makes it blatantly obvious that they value money over all other metrics.
Which is a really big middle finger to their loyal supporters over the years.
Doesnt VV handle these changes. Or is Blizz big brother and overseer?
barbarians are gear dependant. they are good at buffing the team but not much else early on. they are great at pvp with the right gear but aren’t optimal at much else.

Nothing wrong with barbs, they are actually pretty dang good with the right gear…and that is the problem [gear] - the reason why you see 10000s sorcs is because they are the most OP class and extremely easy to level and gear up, they can do solo boss runs and farm gear.
If you basically picked any other class at the start then you are literally nerfing yourself and you are at the whims of a unkind RNG loot system, even if you are a veteran like me and I picked my trusty bowazon to start, it’s a slog for sure and not having any BIS or even optimum gear is literally holding me back to a point that I may have to shelf the class and power level a sorc and do some rune hunting.
Almost all the classes except Sorcs are gear dependent, Sorcs can just Static bosses and then finish them off with [insert spell] and the better the gear, the faster they smash, all the other classes only really become comparable once they pass a certain gear threshold.

Barbs are terrible, the only viable classes is singer/shout barb with leap.
I’d say every build outside of Singer/MF barb is D tier at best.
You came to tank, or to be a damage dealer - but in truth, you are support.

solo i always had a easier time in hell as ww barb compared to sorc
but yes sorc shines in nightmare
also protip, set auto attack to Rclick, then hold r click and never let go, its like titanquest auto attacking
One hint; if you are bad with barbarian consider the following:
1- Try using a shield.
2- Check runewords list on google. There are “many” useful low level rune words.
3-Do tower runs (Act1 Black Marsh) Countess drops runes.
4-Dont go for Combat Skill synergies early on, choose a weapon type and fill masteries first.
5-Always have a merc alive near you. It levels with you, when it is dead, it cant gain experience.
