Devs said non ladder and single player will get the 2.4 runewords, but only after the ladder season is over. So reason to play ladder and non ladder and single player get the runewords later, seems like a good way to do it to me. I have never played ladder and I have no problem waiting an extra 3 or 4 months to get the new runewords in non ladder and sp.

No. All new runewords should be locked to ladder. A fresh economy start with a large player base is a blast and being rewarded for starting from scratch in order to obtain these new runewords should be par for the course. Its necessary.

This is how it worked with all the ladder runewords in legacy. Grief, infinity, Fort, spirit, dream. All ladder only in legacy.

My understanding is that ladder chars (and their items) get migrated to nonladder, so ladder runewords will exist in nonladder only by transfer, and you can not create them in nonladder.
I do not feel like rewatching the video that the devs shared the details in, but I expect it will be âcan be createdâ once ladder season is over. Time will tell. And depending how good or bad the ladder perks are, I could try ladder for the first time. If I delete a char slot that is, I am already at max chars.

Ladder needs to have a reason. If ladder runewords are made available in nonladder after the ladder season ends, then are we expecting Blizzard to create new runewords for the next ladder season, every cycle? Highly unlikely.
While thatâs how they did it Iâm legacy, that may not be true now.
In legacy ladder only were only able to be made in ladder, and were then transfered to non ladder when ladder reset.
But. They could make new runewords each ladder reset, and make the old ladder runewords available to non ladder. They donât have to stick to what was done in the past. The fact that they said single player will be able to make them after season one makes me think this is the case.
That is exactly what the devs said in their video. You can google it and watch it if you want, if was good to hear, but it was a bit long.
But yes the devs did say that new runewords and ladder only âstuffâ would be coming per ladder season. They did not say for how many ladder seasons they would do that however. So again we will have to wait and see.
And I do not understand why ladder only deserves special treatment, over Hardcore, Softcore, or non ladder.

Itâs part of the main attraction of being in ladder, not just the economy reset. Reward players willing to restart from scratch. I see no issues with this. You donât want to restart? Fine, wait the 4 month.

nope itâs not enough and they know it, thatâs why they make those only ladder runewords 2.4
I think they need to add journey rewards on top of having new runewords in ladder. I would play in this case, otherwise Iâll just wait till ladder ends and enjoy the runewords in nonladderâŚ
They said in the dev stream that you can create the RWâs in nonladder once the current ladder season ends.

we did get ladder only items this season right? This wasnât âladderâ but we had access to all ladder items, runewords and recipes. When ladder starts I think non ladder will now include all that was previously ladder only and ladder will have new stuff which eventually will roll over to non ladder as even more ladder only stuff is added for future seasons. So as Obi Wan Kenobi says âfrom a certain point of viewâ non ladder is getting new stuff it never had before.
