someone teleporting to throne isn’t “boosting”, its simply the most basic building block of a baalrun and people do it at all levels on all classes. what bosco did is unorthodox and i doubt the hassle of having closed 7p mf runs is any less than having to manage baalruns. i personally would never approach it like that. seems horrendous to me. but to each their own.
i mean yea, obviously. how could a stun bear ever reach level 99? i mean the character doesnt do damage and thats by design because he supports.
paladin is the most autonomous character and everything else falls off, to balance that all out would be to make a completly different game. probably something with “rifts”.
the achievement doesnt “cater” to characters, it is what it is. there are simply builds who excell and doing what is needed to reach 99 and others who dont.
also, level 99 being different for each characters, immensely so, gives the game more achievements in total to gain. if all efforts would be exactly the same, there would be no point in doing 99 more than once. but as it is now, there is a point in doing that.
“oh, you did 99 on a java and paladin? thats cute. try druid.”
im just not sure why everyone seems keen on making changes for reaching level 99. i think its an amazing achiemvent with so much depth to it, even though its absolutely mind numbing repetitive. its great.
I think opening the xp to be more communal rather than restricting it to solo or topping bosses would pretty much level the playing field for most classes. would paladins and javas still have the upper hand? most definitely, but you’d see a lot more people playing together rather than trying to do their own thing that benefits them solely. isn’t that the whole purpose of playing on multiplayer anyway?
Items are worthless for the most part, and mf is meaningless past like the first 3 weeks of Ladder. Last hit goes to the top lvl baal party. It’s about exp distribution, not drops.
Well this sounds a bit narcicisstic sry…i think u have to respect all people not just higher lvl. I think no d2 player is 10 years old… this should work.
narcissism is being self centered, which is completly irrelevant to what you quoted. im not saying “respect me, because im high level”, im saying players should ack higher level characters ingame and try not to grief their games. same goes for me. if im lvl 80 for example, im generally first in TP, help clear throne, stay ingame for baalkill, dont last hit if there is a baalaprty etc… thats not being narcissistic. thats just me not being garbage at diablo2.
no, probably not on paper. but if you look at this entire thread, intellectually some sure are.
The best part is when you make the NEXT game after that ahead of time… and while the host is trying to figure out wth is going on the others filter in… and it’s your run now.

Well the current problem with in game trading… is they have the regions locked to such tight areas that you just never see anyone. Even after they made the changes I’m lucky to see 15 games going. Welcome to rural America.
I just wish they’d let me set my own ping ranges for what I want filtered out. I live in the middle of nowhere so EVERYONE has bad ping to me to start with lol. I mean I’m 3 hours from the nearest “city” of 100k people.
