I am not personnally a pro when speaking of game developpement… But I am curious of one thing. Apparently they messed up with an option they forgot to turn off… Maybe it’s me idk… But why they don’t make copies so they just go back and redo the things when this kind of s*** happens? No?

Maybe we are lucky and we will (sometime) be transparently clarified what exactly went wrong. But I know from my own experience that the causes that appear tiny are not so easy to repair. even if the 42 minor releases go back then suddenly 289 parts in another place no longer work. therefore you have to proceed very carefully.

Its been almost 12 hours since launch… this issue was brought up and pretty much pinpointed like 20minutes after launch time.
I don’t know about you guys but my excitement for the launch is pretty much gone… preordered, took time off of work, ready to go, and now I get to start playing with other enthusiasts who will already have characters farming in hell difficulty. That’s pretty weak man.
The game not firing at all due to system requirements seems like a pretty serious thing to overlook… Of the list of things to make sure don’t change between the beta and official release, I’d say things that prevent the game from booting should probably be close to the top of the list…?
Cuz really what happened is: “here test this game, play the beta. This game is sweet right? Wanna buy it? yea? cool. thanks for the money. here’s the game. oh it doesn’t work? we will fix it later…dunno when but we will”

I am disappointed, but not surprised in the least. Since Blizzard became part of Activision have they even had a decent launch? I figured I was making a mistake preordering it, but Diablo II is one of my favorite games of all time so I took the chance. Matter of fact the last game I preordered was DIII and we know how that turned out. My own fault for having any hope of them getting the launch right. lol

I don’t understand for the best sake how one can call it a bastard, especially since it doesn’t change anything if everyone starts talking hotly and insulting each other.
Then there are still unqualified assumptions without evidence that should only fuel the whole thing, with the intention of hitting blizzard even harder. As if they would only solve the problem faster if you let off particularly lousy statements.

What makes you an expert to be able to evaluate the situation at Blizzard at all?

I’m neither a mod nor do I want such a strenuous and unpaid job, especially because you have to deal with guys like you.

Your “advice” to people on the forum aside from be patient they are working on a fix and your technical musings about what people should do are fairly laughable.

They should have a working refund button for one, because this is the worst launch I’ve ever seen in my 38 years of being alive.

Nobody at blizzard deserves the benefit of the doubt or any slack, they’re atrocious. Billion dollar company which can’t even integrate user hardware correctly.

Blizzard constantly drops the ball and frankly this relaunch of a old game is unacceptable considering most of the integration points were already given to them.

Much like blizzard if I made a mistake, millions of dollars would be lost and there are countless permutations of issues associated with my line of work. The difference is I dot my i’s and cross my t’s and it LITERALLY never happens. Never.

That’s what being competent means. They had a beta to circumvent these issues so the main issues would only be related mostly to server load - but here we are having child programming level hardware conflicts like this game is a small inde company.

refund is the best option available to us. gonna transfer the funds to buy on switch. this PC fiasco they did is hype killer and disappointment from them.

they hype the game yet failed us considerably.
