Once you get an Infinity and Enigma? Lightning Sorc is expensive primary because of these two pieces but getting everything perfect is also tough, so I wonder at which point should one switch over?
I’m sure you know and it’s just an oversight but she doesn’t need enigma. I would definitely have Infinity though, at least.

I currently Blizzard and can do many areas except Countess which I don’t care anyway as I find enough runes in cows
All personal choice imo they are both good with the right gear
Don’t need enigma at all. Infinity is probably enough to start but griff or eschuta’s go a long way as well.

I think the reason for Enigma #1 is the magic find. But the strength, and damage reduction plus the run/walk speed is all helpful for getting the most out of the build. My biggest concern is not having enough Mf/ All res charms to make up for the lack of All res on Enigma and having enough magic find since you want to use Griffons of course instead of Shako.

Yeah I know lol. But for those few times you aren’t teleporting, it’s nice to be able to move as fast as you can.
You don’t need enigma as a Sorc dude. Infinity is what you want. Tals armor is good enough defensively.
yea, why enigma? The build I’m following has chains of honor or tals.
for lightning I’m thinking you need infinity on merc, eschutas, griffons… I’ll probably switch when I have eschutas and griffons? infinity is a long ways off for me.
Because enigma is the best armor in the game, it has literally everything you want in an armor. It has fantastic defensive bonuses, it has massive bonus to strength and magic find. It has +2 all skills. Life after kill. % bonus to life. It has massive magic find %.
Even without counting teleport it is the best armor you can get if you have enough resistance in other slots.
I swapped a few times, lightning sorc without infinity simply doesn’t have the clearing speed in high player count games that Blizz does. I actually run all content just fine with my Blizz sorc and powerful merc. My merc kills all of countess minions and herself just fine.
Lightning requires GG gear, you need at least infinity and griffon
it is very good but I’m following mrllama’s icyveins guide and it calls for chains of honor or tals for MF.
I’m not denying enigma is good or even the best. Still, I don’t see why you would ever wait on enigma as a sorc for any build.
Chains of armor has less MF than enigma and half the bonuses don’t do anything for a sorc. Tals would be a lot better but Enigma is still king.
I started my sorc as meteor + frozen orb. I changed to lightning/chain lightning + frozen orb after i got my tal set.
why switch when you can just make 2 different sorces?

Not just infinity. You need a phoenix on monarch as well for mana regen since you don’t have meditation from insight anymore
My first sorc is ES/nova. No need to switch from blizz at all.
And the reason I made this topic has come to pass. I thought I might be able to complete Enigma before having all the small charms I needed to cover giving up All res on Viper Magi.
If I wear the Enigma my resists are in the mid to low 40’s. That also includes a grand charm that I’ve been dying to get rid of that has 24% fire resist on it I believe.
