Alright so originally the 75-120 SOJs sold requirement for this event was because of duping. Why is this event not 1 SOJ now (something much more reasonable) because this game is essentially a “new” game / servers or do you guys expect there to be massive SOJ duping and encouraging it ? SOJS are actually extremely rare and not common and finding games specifically for this Diablo Clone event is essentially impossible at this point. Game should not be getting balanced around cheating and this event is an actual prime example of that. The only reason as I said there’s this insane requirement is because dupes and bots are expected to be rampant and you guys will do nothing about it.

Imagine once in your life saying the truth. Your reason is that you have some false feelings that everybody should run with annihilus. Anni should stay so rare as possible.

Wrong, then it just enables the JSP whales to have a monopoly on them. It’s not healthy having items that are so rare they command a $500+ real value price. It just gives the whales an advantage over the rest of us that we can never hope to get. Sorry, I’m not a streamer so I don’t know how I’m ever gonna get one.

I’m ok with them being rare, but the process needs to be more transparent. Having to use tools outside the game to monitor IPs is steaming stinky BS.

Could have sworn vv said they were looking at different options on this, but I wouldn’t count on it being a top priority right now.
I know it’s not a top priority probably at the bottom of the list after stacking runes and gems. Just something I think should be on the radar even if it’s a faint blip.
Lets hope Blizzard keeps the Annihilus requirements high, as it’s something that isn’t supposed to be given away like candy.
So, suck it up, buttercup. The game is easy enough without Annihilus.

It’s not about easy, it’s about being POSSIBLE. Right now you basically need to be a big streamer, and on top of that it uses the obscure IP thing which requires you to run hack problems to monitor your game IP.

exactly the requirements are insane . The boss itself is already a challenge. The event itself was originally put to reduce the number of duped and botted SOJS on the servers. The event is back but it really shouldn’t be based on these old requirements because SOJ duping and botting isn’t rampant.

Which should make it all that much more rewarding when you finally do get one without cheating or being a streamer.

But I WON’T be able to get one, and neither will you. It doesn’t matter how skilled I am or how much I play unless I organize an event and use hacks to see the game IPs.
Look, I’m generally fine with the drops in this game and I’ve had a good amount of luck with my own farming. But Anni is different, I see no practical path to getting one outside of d2jsp.

Hmm, I’ve gotten a few of them in the original game without being in some organized group OR cheating. That was over the course of several YEARS. 
Again, the game is easy enough without it. The game is more challenging without it. Play the game enough and you’ll realize the same.
That’s because the original game was filled with duped SOJS ;/

the last 18 years of them would suggest otherwise though, so not sure where you are getting this insight into the game design.

You realize you completely depended on cheating to get those right? Other people used third party hacks for you to get them. That’s my entire point is that botting and duping was how people got their charm you benefited from SOJ being the currency because it was so massively duped.
