Am I doing something wrong?(Travincal)

ive done 30 trav runs so far after being told it was a good rune farm, I’m on players 1 to be fair, but I haven’t seen a single rune drop yet and I mean NONE, not so much as a single El rune. Is Trav even worth doing on players 1 or is there somewhere else I should be trying to farm high runes?

Tell us how that worked for you after 500-1000 runs. 30 runs is a minuscule sample.
Just out of curiosity? What build are you using to run Trav? What is the average time for 1 run?

how what worked out for me? Im playing a wind druid, 1 run takes me about 60 seconds if there aren’t any physical immunes and a good portion of that is getting my summons up.

Obviously im not expecting to find a high rune, but for a “good rune farm” zero runes of any tier after 30 runs seems odd, which is why I ask if there’s something I should be doing that I’m not doing currently and/or if it’s normal to go on dry streaks there.

This reflects all that stupid complains about droprates in d2. 30 runs lmao XD
If you strain your brain just a little you know what you are doin wrong.

I’m not complaining about drop rates, I’m asking if what I’m experiencing is normal as I’ve never spent time farming Travincal for extended periods of time before, no need to be a dink

Im just saying that lots of people think they are doin like a few runs a think they had a grind behind them. As Zaman said, do 500 runs and then you can expect to have found something useful.

that’s not what i was saying at all, I was just asking if it’s normal to not see rune drops for periods of time (which judging by the delightful responses, does seem to be the norm) when someone says “good rune farm” I assumed they meant you’d see lots of low rune drops (ral, tal, etc.) and maybe something high or high adjacent (lum, fal, lem etc.) once in a blue moon , all I have to compare Trav to is doing tower runs or Chaos, where if I didn’t find something like a Fal or Lem after 30 runs I’d be very surprised

dude i was just saying that this reflects all the complains ive seen about bad drop on this forum. hang yourself on it and keep find nothing lol.

i actually did just get an Amn, best wishes

Just saying to share your drops after a larger sample of runs. It all depends on RNG. Trav is indeed one of the best places to farm runes. The best build to farm it is a horker Barb.
Long story short, it’s not unheard of to make even more than 30runs and not see any rune drops. You are the mercy of RNGesus.

AN AMN, DAMN!!!   Keep on “grinding”

ah, gotcha. I will do that, thanks for your help

Dont make the mistake of mixing “amount of runs” with “amount of time spent”! 1 minute per run means you played roughly half an hour and did not find any runes.

When comparing Trav to other places you need to look at what you can achieve in that 30 mins at other places, like Cows or WSK or Countess, etc. In Trav you always fight super uniques, while in other places you fight all kinds of mobs.

true, i guess that does make sense, tower runs take significantly longer than trav runs so it makes sense they’d FEEL more rewarding, thanks for the insight

Travincal is best farmed by a barb on p1, because he can use find item to get p7 drops out of the corpses.

Countess is better for low runes. Travincal as non barb takes a little longer to gain runes.

Trav → barb is like Cows → java. Sure you can do it with other classes, but it takes longer.

Just out of curiosity are you from Nova Scotia?

My experience with trav runs is running for hours a day for a whole week and not seeing anything above a Shael. The people who taunt you on these forums are no lifers.

so is being on p1 as a wind druid really hurting me rune drops wise? my gear isn’t like incredible but my tornados are doing 5k+ damage so i could probably handle a slightly higher player count, I just hate the headache of having to make sure nobody crashes your game. Where would you recommend as a good place to try and farm high runes as a wind druid in players 1?

p3 would be great for you to increase drops. Druids got the short stick when it comes to PvM, but with enigma you could farm seals at chaos.

I am not, was born in the US but most of my family is from PEI and thereabouts, I assume you’re asking because of my name.

And ya rng can be rough, I did just gamble a BK ring while trying to empty gold from my personal tab though, so I can’t complain

When running travs you will have runs where you get none and you will have runs when you get 5 runes in a single game
