Its literally 3 am in the morning and there is this big red X I’m thinking to close the game…Im ready to quit so I just accept without reading because Im tired.
This sux. Worst of all nobody gives a flying sh*t and some ppl think they are perfect and something like this will never happen to them.

I’m so terrified of this happening to me that I just hit escape or alt+f4 to close. I never click anything just to train my brain not to slip up if I’m tired.

First you mock somebody when he is deleting his char but when the person say he is done your first question is what is he doing with the rest of the loot.
I get vicarious embarrassment when is see your struggle.
If you dont read why should anybody care? Should the game ask 20 times that “are you sure you want to delete your hero”. How about you take responsibility for your actions and dont try to play the victim card?

Conditioned your entire life to press the red X in corners for closing programs. While deleting characters usually involves having to type the word “DELETE” in a box to confirm character deletion. Yet here it almost seems like bait. I have a feeling a lot more of these posts are coming.

This is not necessary. They need to fix that interface, there is absolutely no need for that button to be on the main screen. It shouldn’t even be visible and accessible most of the time. It is not frequent action to delete you chars to make so easy access to that feature. Deleting characters should be hard.

When you click on the x game also ask that are you sure you want to delete your hero. Harder than this? Imagine you read something if the ui pop up another window instead of just clicking like a 4 years old kid.
When designing a new car. They wouldn’t dare flip flop the gas and brake pedal’s. Because no matter how many times they warn people or put a sign up. They understand that people are creatures of habit. The reality is people would be getting into more accidents.
The reality here is people are indeed deleting there characters by mistake. So the “are you sure” popup isn’t working well enough. Its time to try something else.

Look if you don’t have arguement then do not argue, just read.
I don’t want to read any messages. That was enough for me as well to not make such mistake though.
But I expect to enter some char manager before deleting it, it also would be great to have a button with a clear message on it stating that it’s for deletion. It is simply wrong when such button exists on the main screen and so easy to press. I’ve also heard that for consoles they even made a short cut for pressing it by one of the buttons. This is terrible interface.

Its working. Ppl just dont care. That is not the fault of the game if they are even lazy to read. Typical “wheelchair” gamers.
Yep here is your main problem. There is no problem with the delete button. You just dont care and want something else.

If you say so. I however think they will make this change. I would make this change if I was Blizzard. Last thing I would want is to lose players over dumb mistakes. Because I accept the world I live in, is full of human’s who make dumb mistakes. We cant all be as perfect as you.

Yes, this is a great point. This particular design on the menu is seriously whacked. Very sorry for the delete OP! This needs a hotfix.

Well yeah… ppl make mistake. But they need to live with the consequences. But that is what almost nobody wants.
This problam is also widely covered in the reddit sub forum.
I hope we have a Blizzard rep that address this issue soon.

i know this is too great of a concept for someone with your limited capabilities but my question was in jest because, if he did delete a character it wasn’t 86 he would have to be on your level of intellect to play a character long enough to hit that level and still delete it by accident and i doubt he is even really going to quit the game he just wants attention something you share with him.
