- FIRST AND FOREMOST IS IT WILL BE A OPTIONAL SETTING. That means your FFA loot that already exists WILL STILL BE THERE.
- If you don’t want to play the new OPTIONAL setting, then DONT. Play EXCATLY THE SAME AS YOU ALREADY ARE.
- The players that choose the new setting will be grouped with other players who choose the same setting. The loot that drops in those rooms will be randomly assigned to people THAT DAMAGED THE MOB. SO there is NO WAY TO JUST SIT AROUND AND GET FREE STUFF.
- If a member goes hostile to try and grab loot for example they get auto booted from group.
- If someone pulls a douche move and kill a boss by themselves somehow while in the group the players can just make a new room and not group with said ninja looter.
- If a boss drops 5 items like for example Baal, THE EXACT SAME DROPS THAT WOULD HAVE DROPPED IN FFA DROP. the only difference is the auto assignment of the loot based on whoever did damage.
- With this system if there is 8 players SOME WILL GET NO LOOT, sense same amount of loots drop 3-5 usually
- Once the loot has been picked up IT CAN THEN BE TRADED LIKE NORMAL.
- That means in no way AT ALL IS THE CURRENT GAME/MARKET affected.
- To choose if you want FFA like normal or resurrected you choose on THE SAME SCREEN YOU ALREADY USE TO MAKE OR JOIN A ROOM. It would literally be a box to check yes or no.
learn to grab guys. you cant possibly be as good with the controller 2 weeks into as others with mouse and 10000 hours of training. item spacing destroys the old best position to grab function which means everyone kinda has the same chance randomly press a button. open your own runs and check item spacing.

Sarcasm and reality are not your strong suits, are they? There is already a solution to your non-existent problem and it is called private games.
Also, what decides who is getting the item that drops? Round-robin? So, a low rune drops and then a high rune drops. Player A gets the low rune and player B gets the high rune? Yeah, nobody is gonna like that. This would just cause more people to play in private games and with that in mind; there are literally only 4 reasons to play in public games.
- EXP Grinding
- Trading
- Dueling
- Need help with specific quest/boss carry.
If you are playing in a Public Game, you should never expect to get loot.

LMAO. The Solution does address everything. Pickit is not a problem when you are in a private game. The controller looting is a myth and was already proven false above. It sometimes highlights the item you actually want, but again, a private game would not have this issue.
The META in D2 is play with others to grind experience and play solo to farm for loot. You can choose to play it anyway you want, but every game has a META and D2 is no different. You can also choose to sit on the forums and complain about a game that was developed 20 years ago, before the Instant Gratification Gaming Culture that seems to exist today, asking for changes when none are needed. The proof being that the game has been played for 20+ Years, and D2R already provided everything it needs to last another 20+ years.

And D2R already made it better by updating graphics, providing some QoL changes and moving it to modern hardware and modern Battle dot net. There is nothing else needed to make it better. Just open a tp on a boss when it dies, controller players will enter that instead of picking items.

See, this is where you are wrong. D2R isn’t a new game and Blizzard never said it was. This isn’t a remake either. This is a remaster and Blizzard also said they will not deviate from the Spirit of Diablo 2 in this remaster. So, again, keep dreaming.

a ploot option is becoming necessary for sure. Too many ways to hack all the loot in FFA. Not acceptable.
