[2.4 Patch] Pvp is compromised - Fast Hit Recovery / Stun Issue

That would be really ideal, but I can’t imagine they want to have two servers or whatever from a dev perspective lol. :frowning:

Even if they brought WSG back, sins will again run wild. This isn’t LOD where you strength glitch + wsg and synch like crazy to have a chance of escape. Good sin players will combo the crap out of you until you die.

I know this from playing against one of the best sin players in Jay Zhang.

Rip Jay Zhang, 1960-2021.

+1, as said before, wsg was a solution that all pvpers loved. The current solution to fhr lock out is waaaay too much and the only character that really abused stun was assassins and something as simple as taking mindblast away from the shadow masters skill pool would’ve probably been enough of a hit to assassins instead of screwing with something that effects everything else in pvp.

yup exactly. Nerfing shadow master, in conjunction of nerfing martial art (which was done) would have decreased a lot assassin effectiveness. May be not enough tbf (i think a really well fined and nerfed tuned immunity mechanic could be good), but it was better than to nuke down the whole game

100% Agree with the above

Great job with the write up, PVP is the lifeblood of D2 without it many have no purpose to play

The game is geared toward new players currently, not neckbeards who want to abuse stuns and frustrate new players. Give it a little time and maybe they’ll revert it back, but until then stop being a neckbeard.

Well said, agree with everything here. Pvp is important. It helps keep the game alive. The pvmers find the items for the pvpers, which keeps the game alive. Keeping pvp alive is important for pvm as well!

The only stun that people found frustrating was from assassins, the problem was in a fix to stop assassins from stunning everyone into oblivion they negatively impacted everything else when there were better choices to go about it.

  • Add a similar feature as WSG in D2 lod that could be a new hotkey for example that players have to press multiples times (like 3-4) to shortly break FHR and escape stun.

Yeah, no.

+1, agree with DHA on everything

The solution is adding 1s casting delay to Mindblast, so sins won’t break the game and other chars don’t have to suffer from this fhr disaster

Maybe this kind of current stun immunity but only against Mindblast

  1. namelock with mindblast.
  2. switch to psy hammer for two cast
  3. use mindblast again

With that assassin can stun just as well ^^ would lose some mindblast dmg tho

not familiar with psychic hammer, can it hit target off screen like mindblast?

There is no issue with MindBlast

when one gets MindBlasted
( depending on MatchUp / GamePlan etc.

MindBlast will push one in a certain direction
if you want to escape MindBlast you will simply escape by not going against
the direction one is being pushed towards

[[ Revert Changes / WSG best ]]

have a good day

edit : all combos = destroyed

imagine MindBlast giving double Immunity Frames
due to Knockback aswell , kinda funny XD

Knockback right now is subject to FHR too which wasnt the case ever in D2
every individual Class / Character had their own fixed KB Frames ( Barb for example 5 )

any projectile or instant cast skill (foh, mindblast, psy hammer, slow missile, bone prison and some others) can hit the target off screen like mindblast when you got the namelock

The problem of inescapable stunlock is with the SWIRLING EFFECT, not the FHR system. Instead of completely ruin the FHR system by giving fhr immunity, You can just do something with the swirl, like giving only the first hit after a swirl guaranteed fhr, and once that hit was done the swirl would be removed. That way the “edge cases” of unescapable stunlock will be dealt with, while every other things wouldn’t be ruined
