I have never in my life, EVER had to replace a shortcut for an app that needed an update (before or after).
Why is this a thing for Battlenet? Why?
In what world would I ever have to do this other than Battlenet?
Why was it designed this way?
Shouldn’t it do it automatically?

I was able to fix the issue i was having with this by going to [i guess i am not allowed to link to their own site] i then downloaded it for windows and installed it. I did not uninstall anything or do anything else just installed it and it works no longer giving me the error message.
I am having the same issue. I have deleted the Shortcut, then went to where the file is installed and then made a new shortcut but still the same thing. So what is the deal?

There’s a link to download the Battle.Net installer at the top right side of the forum.
You can also switch to the beta version, which is a simple/fast way to reinstall and fix the shortcut.
