I can’t get this game to work ever since the season update. I don’t understand why I would have to turn my AV off, Cold war works just fine. Can’t play the game until they notice and patch this issue.

Alright bois, I got it working again. Did it by uninstalling two things:
- All Adobe software, including Adobe Genuine Service.
- 0patch
I figured one of these was hooking processes. Hopefully this helps some of you.

had to add the game folder, not the one above and the 2 exe’s launcer and MW, don’t know which one is or if all of them but now it works
I completely disabled my Sophos Antivirus and double check it was off with no luck.
Also tried
- reinstalled
- verify
- launch as admin
- turned off firewall
I uninstalled CryptoPro and it worked after reboot
Hey, this is not a solution, we shouldn’t have to uninstall the antivirus or any program whatsoever, even though some can’t do that, we need a solution from Blizzard or Activision, something that comes with the update itself. My COD Warzone still not working, so please we need a General Fix.
You need to exclude the modernwarfare.exe in the Local Client

I uninstall Comodo Internet Secruity and game work. But how play with comodo ?

Same issue, but I finally got the game to load! It was an AV issue.
I don’t have Citrix and I am running Trend Micro AV.
I added Battle.net Launcher.exe, Battle.net.exe, Modern Warfare Launcher.exe and Modern Warfare.exe to the exceptions list. I have been working on this for three days, and I thought I already excepted the above.
In summary: I believe the fix for a lot of people is your anti-virus software exceptions.

So the problem is because the antivirus detect a shell code injection but i can’t disable my antivirus because my pc is from my work! So sad that i can’t play the game anymore.
By the way this problem is because they implemented anti cheat and still have cheaters in the game!

Essentially, the game just “magically” started working & launching correctly again. 
Guys I have finally figured it out! After almost breaking my whole system and ripping out all of my hair trying absolutely everything I can think of… I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!
Update your BIOS… Literally something so simple caused all this anger and frustration. Hopefully this helps all you out. Enjoy
