So I just logged on tonight after a couple weeks off, raring to go, and I’m getting extremely long position in line queues, like 2000+ . Is it just me? And if so, why?
No it’s not just you, everyone playing on US-East/US-West/Asia are experiencing queue issues when creating games. So far the Europe realm has been largely unaffected.
While no official reason has been mentioned, it is widely suspected to be from the massive number of bots that still plague the game.
Blizzard has been aware of the issue for some time and have stated they are working on a solution. I suspect they have tried every quick fix they can think of to resolve the problem without any luck, so apparently a big fix is in the works.

Oh wow, that’s a real bummer. Especially because it hurts the active players more than the botters, at least in my opinion. Thanks guys!

It’s not the number of bots. Blizzard has taken action that reduced the number of serviceable instances for whatever reason. The number of active players has not changed suddenly. (Almost everyone is lvl 99 on the ladder, item sites are overflowing with inventory and almost can’t give it away, there’s no sudden bot rush to battle.net, people). However, the /users command has been disabled so this cannot be confirmed and therefore Blizzard can’t be called out on it while they continue trying to do whatever it is they’re trying to do.
They’re not stupid. Aaaaand they’re perfectly content leaving everyone else in the dark and none the wiser.
If this is true, then the bots became the reason. 
Restricting instance capacity for bot reasons and essentially exiling real players is an oxymoron. … ohhhhh, I see what you did there.

yeah I have tried my west account as well and same thing, in line and no support from blizzard
