Stolen & hacked account

I am writing in the forums because I was hoping to see similar cases to mine. Here’s the thing: three weeks ago I got my account hacked, and some hours later I inmediatly tried to contact Blizzard to see if they could do something. To my surprise, I got a quick response, but in vain.

There was one time when I was almost able to access my account, when the Support team changed the email to mine, reseted the password and everything, but the hacker had an authenticator and his phone number on my account, which made me not being able to fully access to it. He then removed all the changes Blizzard did.

So I was wondering if any from the Support team could help me out since I’ve been submitting several tickets and answering all of them properly when I got the chance but none of them could actually work because they didn’t remove the phone number.

Like many websites, if someone gets the password wrong enough times, it locks the account for security reasons. Sometimes for a set period of time, sometimes longer. The default for Blizzard is 24 hours. Do not try entering it before that time has passed.

If your account was compromised though that is a big deal and you need to put in a compromised ticket to undo the damage the person did.

While you wait on your ticket you need to figure out how someone else got your email, password, and access to your email (needed to change anything on your account).

Run a malwarebytes sweep, check for an virus software, consider who has access to your PC and information. Did you fall for any phishing scams maybe?

From a computer you know is clean change your email password and consider a new email for your Bnet that you don’t use for anything else. One with secondary authentication on it like Gmail. Gmail sends a code to your phone if it gets a strange login.

Also set up your Battlenet Authenticator when you get your Bnet account back.

If you have further questions you can post in the WoW Customer Support forum using any Bnet account with a level 10 character on it. Just give them the battletag of the impacted account.

That forum serves as an Information Desk to help guide you through the Support process, answer questions about policy, explain services, etc. It does not replace a ticket but can save a lot of time and frustration by getting you on the right path.

Then I suggest you clearly state what is going on, and post on the CS forum to see what the proper next steps are. Tomorrow if a Blue is in they can review your account and tell you what the proper support options are.

I have two tickets in which is max for blizzard and they keep sending me to that website that I have been too so many times. I have told them many times what the issue was and nothing happens. They are stealing my money I paid for a year of service and I’ve been working on this all week long trying to get in. i bought the epic version of the game with no access to it. I spent more then 200 dollars and get nothing for it except headaches from idiots who think it’s funny that this is happening. I asked them to send me my money back but can’t put in a ticket for it

Well at least they finally got the name of my account correct. There must be a miracle somewhere
