Hello, when i tryed to play warcraft 3 classic, and update poped up, but it wasnt rly an update, it uninstalled my game and installed that reforged garbage that i didnt even buy.
Is there any way that i can play warcraft 3 classic now? Since the discs i got are already unusable and the installer doesnt work anymore. Is there any way to play warcraft 3 classic? I mean any? I payed for the game i still got the cdkeys and everything. Just cannot install the game same way i used to be able to. I appreciate all help.

I second this. I cannot play the classic version that I paid for eons ago and have had bounded to my account for years. This needs to be fixed.

I would very much like the answer to this question as well - Game is updated to reforged (which i have not paid for, and no intentions to do that in the future) - and getting a black screen when trying to start warcraft 3…
@Blizzard, please rehire all your tech supporters, and fix all these issues that have occured over the last 2 weeks. WOW crashes the graphic card constantly, and WC3 unable to start after you force updated it to reforged without customers paying for it

So i figured out how to play warcraft 3 classic. Even though you download the 30 GB you still have an option to play classic mode even if you haven’t bought reforged. I too was very upset that the game took up so much space and i thought they got rid of Classic Warcraft too. that’s when i looked up if you could still play it and there is a way. once you activate the main menu hit the “Custom Game” option and create a server on any original map from the classic frozen throne or otherwise and just set all the Players to CPUs if you want. that’s for playing single player. or with the campaign as well in classic mode not reforged. Im glad i did the research because i finally figured it out. and even after downloading all that GBs it payed off. cause now my partner and i can battle together on classic warcraft even still! I really hope this helps you friend! 
Hey if you read my explanation to his question you will know how to play classic version. i felt the same way at first, till i did some research.
@anatole99 That may work for you, but does not address the multiplayer issue where the Battle net interface is a considerable downgrade from Classic (something like this would typically be more “subjective” but in this case, I would argue that it is hard to call it an upgrade in any way) and multiplayer no longer works properly with desyncs, etc. It also appears that features such as clans, automated tournaments, and profiles have been stripped out (apologies in advance if I simply do not know how these work and have missed something).
Oh true, well i never play multiplayer due to toxic people i played with in the past. so i guess what i said was pointless. its okay haha xD
but all in all that i can say is that REFORGED SUCKS

download wc3 test realm from downloads. play on PTR server. its only classic bnet left
If you have original CDs, you can just reinstall the game. It will work for single-player, and I assume for LAN.
There is likely to be a non-Blizzard group who will figure out a way to play via something similar to Battlenet… it might already exist, but if not, I doubt it’ll be too long, given then mess of Reforged. (There’s one for StarCraft and WarCraft 2.)
If your own CDs don’t work, but you still have your CD Key, then borrow a friend’s CDs and just put in your own key.
