It’s been about an hour that I’ve been trying to open a ticket with 24/7 assistance.
The worst experience of my life, the message is continuously analyzed by an AI that only offers you links to useless guides with no content.
Getting to communicate with an operator is impossible, I know I need help and it’s not a problem that can be solved with the usual cache cleaning etc etc
Have anyone ever tried the same, how did you do it?
Unless the issue is very very simple (and even then, that thing is pretty well useless), it is best to click on the I would rather categorize the issue button (see screenshot below) and start from there.
The menu with the categories is not perfect… but it should allow you to get close enough for the issue you are having. If you still are having a problem, I may be able to help you with the menu selection if you describe the issue in general terms and the game this is for – menus change with the game.
CS does not offer support for any and all things that exist. They are one team that supports all Blizzard games and services, not specialized teams. There are limited topics they are allowed to, or can, help with. They provide assistance for things like:
Billing/payments
Refunds
Account access to change country, regain access if someone gets locked out, etc
Recovery for comprised accounts
Account action appeals
Very limited in- game assistance for some WoW functions like STUCK characters when the self help tool does not work.
You can read more about what the GMs can do, and can’t do, here. This gets into WoW specifically, but seeing as WoW has the most support, if they don’t do it for WoW, they don’t do it for other games.
The WoW Customer Support forum serves as an Information Desk to help folks navigate the support system, explain policies, explain services, etc. There are no GMs there, but they can really cut down on wasted time by making sure folks are headed in the right direction to start with. It helps to know when not to waste your time with tickets as well.
If you really can’t get a ticket option, that usually means it is something they can’t help with. The two most common things are Bug Reports - which have to be done through the Bug Report forums or in-game tools, and game hints. They are not allowed to give game hints, explain mechanics, help with quests, help with achievements, etc. The system will point you to any number of Community resources like wowhead and guides.
