I’ve never posted a comment or complaint but in all of the years WoW… 8 HOURS game will be down? I thought the patches, fixes, etc were kept at 4 hours on average!!!
Hi,
This forum is for technical support on Blizzard’s Legacy Games — old games such as:
- Diablo II (2000) and its expansion Lord of Destruction;
- The games in the Blizzard Arcade Collection such as the Lost Vikings and Rock N Roll Racing;
- Battle.Net editions of Diablo I, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans & Warcraft: II.
Looking at the Support Breaking News, it appears that you are writing about the 7 May 2024 maintenance on WoW: Dragonflight. This is the wrong forum to discuss World of Warcraft in general and WoW: Dragonflight in particular.
World of Warcraft (all versions, Retail and Classic) has its own forums here:
Please use those forums for anything related to WoW.
There are already a few posts about the upcoming maintenance… for example:
- Hard to believe they need yet another 8 hour Maintenance on Tuesday - General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums
- Maintenance this tuesday is long -- expectations? - General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums and
- Dragonflight Class Tuning Incoming - May 7 - General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums
There is also this blog on Wowhead:
Best of luck in your games !
Just to mention the reason for them posting here is because if you choose to go to the foums from the battle.net loader it throwss you here instead of to the regular forums…
it does this to me all the time too for some reason and i play NONE of the legacy games and only classic WOW which i am not tagged on atm
Ahhh… silly me, I thought it had something to do with the players of WoW !!
I don’t play WoW… it’s not even installed on my PC… but, if I bring up the WoW panel on Battle.Net, I see this:
and if I click on “Quick Links”, a drop down menu shows up like this:
And… when you click on “Forums”… surprise, surprise… it brings you to the WoW forums:
WoW Classic is the same way – except Blizzard didn’t even bother with the Quick Links drop-down menus:
If, instead, you click on the blue Battle.Net Logo… you get the Battle.Net App menu items which also contains a Forums item:
Clicking on that “Forums” brings you to the homepage of the Battle.Net App forums (the forums here) : https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/blizzard/ .
Most of the Legacy Games don’t have forums of their own… so Blizzard grouped them with the Battle.Net App forums… as well as Legacy Games Tech Support.
Seems logical to me…
Not sure why the WoW players can’t seem to figure it out.
Cheers !
