Logging out when resuming from sleep

Confirmed this is still happening on Windows 11 and how surprising that Blizzard hasn’t seen it or doesn’t care.

Still happening on windows 11 and latest version of the client.

Man this is a terrible lingering problem. Starting to not even care about Bnet app anymore because of it. Epitome of Activision era for how long this has lasted.

Happening on MacOS 14.2.1. Make sure to “Report a Bug” → “BNet Desktop Client” to get more dev eyes on it, they clearly don’t care about the forums lol

Same thing happens to me in Windows 11. Desktop app keeps logging me out when my system wakes up from sleep.

Come on Blizzard, sort this out

Also happening here - what I don’t understand is if I exit the application and re-open it while my computer is on, it always remembers my login and I don’t have to enter the password (unless it’s within the set period to re-enter it)…but the minute my PC goes to sleep and wakes up, I’m met with an error code, prompting me to re-enter my password for the Blizzard app…

Same issue as well. Have to close Battle.net and reopen it, and i have to enter my password to actually sign in.
I have uninstalled Battle.net and deleted files/folders in various temp folders suggested and then reinstalled Battle.net again. Redetected my installed games. And today it happened again still.
This has been going on for a very long time, I just now decided that it was bothering me for too long. Others in my guild do not have this issue.

Additional note: I have this problem on both the Standard Version and the Beta version of Battle.net.

Funny thing is I was occasionally logged out like maybe once per day. when I tried the fix on bliz support page after that it happens every single time now, so the “fix” maxe it worse lmao. just put your games on steam? if you cant fix a simple auto login issuenfor years…

It’s ridiculous, this simple issue has been happening for years now, it absolutely destroys user experience and they don’t care to fix it.

A constant issue for years now. Very annoying user experience, and a repeated reminder that reflects poorly on the product. Yikes.

Until a couple of weeks ago, this issue was a once a month at the most frequent kind of thing, so I never really cared about it. Then I swapped from physical authenticator (rip my lil guy from Cata, he super dead now) to the phone one. Now every time I go into sleep mode, I’m logged out, the login screen doesn’t respond to me trying to log back in, and I have to end task to close it so I can reopen and try again, forcing me to use the authenticator each time. Thinking about throwing away the extra security and bag space if this is the BS I get in return
