Infinite Scan Loop - Error BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

Was playing the game just fine since launch. However, an update was forced yesterday and this error BLZBNTAGT00000BB8 keep popping up every time it finishes one ‘Scan & Repair’ cycle. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, disabling virus, and nothing seems to work.

I’ve got the same problem. I had game-crashs with CoD BO CW followed by a system crash and a unremovable green screen. I always had to restart my PC.
So i decided to click ‘Scan & Repair’ for CoD BO CW at the Blizzard-Launcher. It turns out that this made it even worse. Now I’ve got the same ‘Scan & Repair’ cycle problem like you have. The launcher want’s me to ‘update’ the game but automatically starts the scanning-process instead (without my permission). But the scanning always fails and leads back to this vicious cyrcle. It’s now no longer possible for me to play this game :(.
I saw that some other people (in another forum) got the same issue in october 2022.
I just hope that the next patch for the Blizzard-launcher can fix that.

This happened to me yesterday. I was actively playing World of Warcraft and it crashed. I tried to relaunch but it popped up with an error. I tried to scan/repair but that didn’t work. Tried all the blue post suggestions, reinstalled WoW and Bnet fresh and it worked for a while last night. Today I’m stuck in the update/scan/repair loop. I completely deleted everything having to do with bnet and WoW, restarted PC, changed permissions, temporarily uninstalled antivirus, everything. It’s broken for me and I can’t get anything to work at all. This is frustrating.

I just dealt with this issue make sure to uninstall the mw2 beta from the game drop down, that’s what fixed it for me

Also having the same issue of infinite repair loop for World of Warcraft Retail.

SAME Here any update cannot play

Having the Same trouble stuck in endless repair/update loop. I have also tried everything that was suggested with the error code.

Same issue started for me this morning. I’ve done everything listed on the support forums for all related issues, and my WoW game repair still fails so I remain unable to login. Would love a response from Blizzard on any of the multiple threads revolving around this issue so we can at least get a timeline for a fix!

I am having the same issue. No crash, just starting up for the evening and infinite loop.

I’m having the same problem. Just started earlier today. Any idea what to do?

Same issue. Have been playing just fine since Dragonflight’s launch. Tonight I was in the middle of the Stay a While quest (listening to Veritistrasz tell his tale), and the game crashed to desktop. The error stated something about a duplicate unique key. Now I am stuck in the Scan and Repair loop - unable to play the game at all.

Literally same but I was in a dungeon. just keeps scanning over and over.

Same here, was turning in a quest, game crashed, won’t restart, stuck in scan loop.

Same for me. Infinite loop of “Whoops! Looks like something broke. Give it another shot.”

Well I gave it about 8 shots.

Last thing I want to do is reinstall only to have it fail again. Hope there is some sort of fix identified.

The WoW Technical Support forum has a ton of posts about this issue right now. Something broke, and lots of folks are affected by this same issue.

Yep, finally going to uninstall and reinstall… night before raid and there’s still no word on this error over an hour after it happened… better follow the FAQ and update my nvidia driver!
