Hotfix for Agent not installing

I get stuck updating blizzard agent. But i only want to play warzone, so i go to local folder and launch Modern Warfare Launcher and … it works. But you need to have installed the game first

Instead of -setregion=EU --setlanguage=enGB you should put -setregion=EU --setlanguage=deDE in the application parameters. Same applies for the config file. Instead of “AllowedLocales”:“EU” put “AllowedLocales”:“DE”. This should fix it

Just tested and OW download also not working for me so far. VPN might be needed for that. :frowning: Maybe try --setlanguage=deDE for german language? just a guess

Guys after edit file inside appdata, launcher will be turned english version for me. I deleted shrtcut on desktop. And i created new. No need --setlanguage or something after edit.

Thank you!
Figured it out already  i just have a blanc box in the launchers option itself where you normally have a drop-down box that says “battle.net-language”.

But im just happy that this workaround helped!

I can confirm now that my OW-Download worked with regular speed after restarting my pc and that im able to play with regular ping.

when i use the CN version it just stops at what i presume to be updating the agent and the same problem is happening but just in chinese now

While ping works, the servers seem to be highly unstable. I have been digging through the logs at C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Setup\bna_2\Logs while Battle.net is trying to install with the EU installer and after startup, download of the first file fails with

The IPs in question are, according to some earlier logging

I 2020-06-30 21:41:02.578369 [Main] {40a8} Downloader - {40a8} INF: adding network address 137.221.64.3:80 for server http://eu.cdn.blizzard.com/

That address, when opened in the browser, yields mixed results from 429s over 504s to some 404s, which in turn demonstrate that some of the IPs behind the CDN domain seem to work. I had the same results with http://us.cdn.blizzard.com.
curl usually gets an empty response or connection is refused.
This had me immediately thinking of a DoS scenario, but I don’t know for sure.

After downloading the Chinese installer, the installer finally managed to download stuff into my C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent folder.

In the logs, I am lacking any entries to connect to a CDN, but am left with the entry

But no progress again for 10 minutes.

when i click on the link for the chinese client given in the original post, i just get “the site can’t be reached” …the windows diagnostic says it can’t communicate with with the device or resource …i’m kind of computer-stupid…does this mean there’s a problem with the internet on my side?

EDIT: after several days of trying, i finally got to the site for the chinese client and was able to download it…have repeatedly left it running overnight with ZERO success…i have gone through absolutely EVERY process i have researched to fix this up to and including what amounted to a complete “flush” of my computer, which, after all this attention and maintenance, may as well have been bought yesterday…the clock is ticking on my sub, and now this is just wasting my money…

Thanks Bro, no idea how you came up with this, but it works perfectly

This only “works” fine, because, out of a unknown reason for me, the asian server are not overloaded with requests and you can still download from there…
even if rather slow…

not really a “fix” than using the working circumstances.

This sadly did nothing for me, just stuck at same point of updating agent. Left for 10 mins and ntohing. Suppose just wait until the issue is sorted

Sadly did nothing for me. I was able to install the battle.net launcher finally but can’t update it. Stuck at 0% forever

Hello, I found a topic that helped me solve this problem

you are the man , thank you

I don´t see a config file inside the battle net folder… please help

Hotfix worked after a bit of fiddling, make sure to delete previous bnet program files x86 folder, thats what caused it to not work for me intially.
