I experienced a similar error while playing MW2: DMZ Warzone.
In the middle of looting, I started rubberbanding, then it completely kicked me from the game and popped up with an error.
Error Code: BLZBNTBGS000003F8
(#x47d9c565dc9223c2b)
status: GOLDFLAKE
I hope this help with a fix.
I’ve had the same issue where the App gets stuck in an update/scan and repair loop. I got knocked off my Wow server on Monday night, tried to log back in and got dropped again. Third time It wouldn’t get past the log in screen, then it got stuck in this loop. I’ve tried to uninstall the game and reinstall, same with Battlenet app. Tried every trick I read about and it’s still stuck. I’ve put in two tickets to support and neither of them show up in the archived folder. I understand it’s the holiday right now in the U.S., and I’m not expecting anything to be done til Monday, but I really hope this gets fixed before the expansion launch.

Having the same issue. Frustrating… Have tried everything you asked us to try but I can not log into the game to play. It doesnt seem to be an isolated incident anymore. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

I came up with this error code since yesterday myself. I was trying to launch Overwatch 2 for the first time of the day, after having made 0 changes on my pc since the last time I played. I only got a black screen and audio, and I had to Alt+F4 out of the game. Tried launching again only to have the same thing happen again.
I tried the scan & repair tool, and instead of getting any kind of repair loop like many here are having, I just get partway through the scan process before the error message pops up.
I don’t know what could possibly be causing the issue - I do not use antivirus aside from base Windows antivirus, and nothing on my computer has changed since the last successful launch of the game.
I had this issue, I ran Scan & Repair on WoW to see if it would fix the issue with Blizzard UI error in the game when using an item. The scan & update just kept looping. These are the steps I took that resolved my issue. I would recommend if your game is Overwatch or COD just replace the WoW with the game your having issues with. It’s clearly a Battle.net issue.
Uninstalled WoW
Uninstalled Battle.net.
Once uninstalled restarted my pc
Confirmed that battle.net was deleted out of programfiles(x86) and also out of programdata
After reinstalled battle.net and then also WoW.
If you don’t know programdata is a hidden folder so make sure to make them visible this can be done in File Explorer window click View tab at the top on the right in the ribbon at the top you will see a Hidden Items check box, check it. Then you will see the programdata folder. Should be in your root drive usually always (C:) drive.
Good Luck

Not sure why there’s not a better answer for this. Tried all of the supposed fixes and only reinstalling the game seems to work (for a while). This is a problem on both Mac and PC clients, so it’s NOT a machine/network issue!!
Having this issue after a PC restart right before launch time, was on earlier with no issues. Tried all work around and fixes with no success. A few other posts in different areas of the forums. Any updates?

Hi, I was suposed to be doing twitch lives since 2 hours ago but I keep getting my wow crashing with this error, tried everything they suggest but nothing happen. Please help me!
Yeah, tried everything, even a fresh install. It’s amazing spending $109 on a game that breaks multiple times a week, has numerous bugs inside of it, and is essentially a beta that you have to pay for.
Get it together activision, this is unforgivable for a game with 3000 devs and 3 years. (Speaking about CoD MWII, I gave up on WoW after resubbing for a month)
I have also the same problem I can’t update hearthstone on PC or mobile it’s definitely on blizzard side hopefully its resolved before the patch.
Same issue for WoW. Attempted all suggested fixes and still same error. New installs as well. Disappointing.
After trying all of the suggestions on the support site at least twice, I put in a ticket again and it finally got through. I tried all of the suggestions from that communication and finally came back around to a full uninstall of WoW and the Battlenet app. Reinstalled both and after it got hung up for a bit on initializing the patch, it finally downloaded the game. Here’s the info I revived, hopefully it will help.
In case this does not fix the issue, there could be a chance that the installation is truly corrupted and the game may need to be reinstalled. In that case, uninstall everything and reinstall the files fresh. To reinstall, please start by uninstalling the game completely, then uninstall the Blizzard App, and be sure that all temporary folders and temporary data are removed as well. Follow these instructions:
Im going to give this a try and hopefully it works because Im having this problem atm and beyond frustrated thank you for posting this **fingers crossed

I can’t even install anything, nothing! I have done all of the suggestions as well, I come from an IT background, everything is fine on my end. Installs get to the same “initialzing 116/120” and I get the error. I just wanted to play some D3 after a long break, why does one of the biggest game companies have the most issues, I’ll tell you, $$$$ plain and simple, it means more than the people.
thanks for the info, gotta check if it works for me
has anyone found a fix for the scanning loop? i’ve been stuck in it for 4 hours trying everything i can to solve the issue and nothing is working
