Sad what happened, i think many pleople will quit playing games from this company. I know that they have many work with relasing “new” overwatch. But they should be prepared that something will crash. Many people contacting support with stupid words “we cannoct connect lobby”, but there are hundreds maybe thousands players what cannot play any of game because they cannot add phone number. Well done blizzard tripple A company. Well done guys.

Cant play OW2 because they need phone number, cant add phone number because I can’t swith country…
I’m so happy to pay 40 usd to not play a scam of a game …

dog*hit third rate company. Cant even sort their act out to allow ppl to change country in their profile automatically.
Funny thing is that now you actually need an entry visa to a country that your account is on, to go there, to buy a FRICKING local phone number, to verify account for a F2P game that many of us have paid for in the past and THEN you MAYHAPS can play… This is unbearable
It’s just too unreasonable to LOCK account region and have to submit TICKETS REQUEST for change it. Never a platform does that which is very inconvenient for your users! Look at this mess BLIZZARD!!! You’re going to lose probably 30% of your player pool from this. Please make this decision ASAP

I have a region change ticket and I have been waiting for 48 hours. I would very much like to play the game. I have purchased the battle pass and I was a beta tester

Blizzard just don’t care, really piss me off.
Found out a news on Twitter Overwatch, Overwatch team will try to find a way to bypass/ignore the SMS Protection gate for existing OW1 player. But for freshly new player, unfortunately have to deal with SMS requirement which you guys gonna blame on Blizzard. link

They removed it for people who already purchased OW1. Which is good.
We have made the decision to remove phone number requirements for a majority of existing Overwatch players. Any Overwatch player with a connected Battle.net account, which includes all players who have played since June 9, 2021, will not have to provide a phone number to play. We are working to make this change and expect it to go live on Friday, October 7. We will update players once it is in effect.

THANK GOD i knew blizzard wasnt so mind numbingly dumb as to keep that in, its literally holding back like 40% of people from playing the game because its borderline impossible to change your account country without essentially doxxing yourself to them.
