Can't install the Blizzard App after "uninstalling" it

I’ll give the full context. Out of nowhere today, the blizzard app wouldn’t locate the games on my computer even after trying to relocate them. I wanted to uninstall the app, but it wouldn’t let me and the Blizzard Uninstaller crashed again and again, so following other posts on the forum, I manually deleted every battle.net or blizzard related file.

I’m trying to reinstall the Blizzard App, but it keep getting stuck at “Updating Blizzard Agent” and I feel like I’ve done everything. No third party antivirus is on, no VPN or program that could interfere with that. What can I do?

Not only you buddy, same here (region EU). Something on Blizz’s side.
No point uninstalling anything yet.
The app doesn’t recognize any installed game, doesn’t let install it, nor update.

I guess we’ll have to wait until they figure out which steps to take.

Same problem here !!

Same issue, the BattleNet app was behaving strangely today as OP described.
(Note: I’m from the EU)

I went ahead and cleaned every game file, BattleNet files and cache files from my system. There is nothing left.
I’ve downloaded the setup again and run it as administrator.
It’s stuck on “Updating Blizzard Agent”.

You can inspect the log files if you go to “%programdata%/Battle.net/Agent”
Then to “Agent.XXX / Logs” where XXX are numbers.
Sort the log files to get the last modified first.

You should have two that look like:
Agent-20190912T193418.log
AgentErrors-20190912T193418.log

When you look at the end of both files you can see it’s stuck in an infinite loop.

Long story short, they have broken their BattleNet client. Not really sure, but looking at the logs the issue may just be server side.

Good job Blizzard  Go revert that commit and deploy your APIs again.

Just a quick info - workaround (at least for hots):

in your game files (either program files or wherever you installed the game):
go to \Heroes of the Storm\Support64
and launch HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe

The only difference being - you need to chose your region and login each time you launch the game.

cheers,
Y

Literally exactly the same issue. I thought it happened because of the install of Borderlands 3 that required the Microsoft .NET framework stuff to be installed. It couldn’t locate my Hearthstone after that. I couldn’t even uninstall the launcher. Now everything has gone to hell.
