This is super disappointing and frustrating. Have tried so many fixes with no success. Needs to be fixed ASAP. It seems like a common enough issue…

I have the exact same problem unfortunately :expressionless:

Still no fix? I just wanted to play the new map today…

Well I fix it, making an exception to my sophos AV of the ModernWarfare.exe files… I make this after a Dump of the process seems to point to hitman alert tag it as a malware…

Thank you! That worked for me. Weird that AV didn’t show it was an issue.

Can you explain what and where you are changing this?

this only applied if you have an antivirus or security software… I have Sophos… Check with your AV and make an exception to the file ModernWarfare.exe on your ProgramFiles\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\ModernWarfare.exe

I have window defender and tried making an exception for it with no luck sadly.

Try the whole path and not just the exe

Did you go to Task Manager and make sure all COD processes were stopped. I had a few running at the same time.
