I even uninstalled this game and now i can’t install it. it shows 171GB to download and I’m constantly getting error

Yep same here, I ran the ModernWarfare.exe not the defaulted launcher one and the game opens. However I then got a message to tell me cannot connect to the server… Real frustrating I have given up with the download as people are saying this has happened multiple times. I can not see any acknowledgement from Blizzard though?
so i downloaded mine on the EU server and it completely downloaded the 170 gb but then when i logged in today i have to do the whole 170 gb again this time i’ve switched to the americas server but still it keeps on disconnecting can u help?
Stopping and resuming download repeatedly helped me download this 170MB patch. Can’t imagine doing the same for sth bigger, though.
I understand that there may be network issues, it happens. What I don’t understand is why you still roll out next patches. Tell your release manager to stop doing it as you’re basically shooting yourself in the foot… 
there is no bloody network issues it randomly disconnects and even after switching to the americas server as told to do by blizzard its already disconnected twice. so far its done only 50gb out of the 170 fml :((
Soo, I have the same problem as so many others. I wanted to respond to the thread about large game installations (number 1), but that one is somehow closed.
I literally have to download the full game again, 171 GB. On top of that, my download speed is 100 B to 300 KB/second instead of the normal 15 MB/second.
I understand that the servers may be busy, but I surely hope that some sort of fix will be implemented, as this make the game unplayable. If this doesn’t get fixed I feel a refund is the only justified solution, as I have paid the full price for the base game which I can no longer play.
This is a bit of a bummer, to say the least, so I am hoping a fix will be implemented soon!

I just upgraded my router and the game is now re-downloading, I also noticed when playing World War Z the firewall rule in Windows had to be re added. Possibility bnet needs to trigger the firewall rule.
Ok blizz and activision this is a joke.I am playing wow since 2008(with breaks thought) therefore i am a blizzard costumer since then.I never had any problem with the company because i always thought that it was one of best gaming companies. But now this happens,i already had downloaded the game(payed 60 euros or so) ,logged in last week to play call of duty with a friend and i saw the extraordinary:170 gb to download all over again.Anyways i downloaded it again and played untill today.Well,you guessed it right ,170 gb all over again to download!!(oh and by the way,last night i bought season pass).So i completly agree to make a free mode,for other people to play,but not in the expense of people who actually bought the game.I completly understand that you guys trying to win people over fortnite,but before you do that,check that you are ready to do it and do it correctly.In conclusion i kindly request you, that if the problem remains for the the next days,a refund for the call of duty game and season pass.

Both myself and my fiance are rather disappointed in the service Battle.net have provided. We have both bought the game with the intention to play together and with our friends; just like everyone else. However we have spent days upon days downloading this game… I have read in other comments on this feed that others are spending more time downloading the game than actually playing it. This is very much the case for us too.
Steam never had this issue when they hosted/ ran the old COD/MW games, we would at least expect the same level of service, if not better from yourselves.
We are utterly disappointed that we now continue to lower our expectations when it comes to this game. It used to be amazing… I would much rather a lower graphics game that you’re actually able to play, rather than the polar opposite.
You say you have a team working on it but i think there needs to be a realisation that you’re going to loose a lot of players and get a bad name if the issue isn’t resolved fairly quickly. Especially as it is one of the most played games in the world.
If it continues, refunds should be given in my opinion or at least some daymn good extra’s once the problem has been resolved…

Alright so it seems I’ve found a fix for myself.
I switched from Europe to Americas Region and suddenly the game starts to download.
Definitely a server issue.

I found solution for me. Try downloading safervpn and downloading using it. For it helped and now its downloading normally. Have a look some websites give trial for vpn so use them to download game.

Let’s talk number for a sec.
these problems seems to affect only PC players, so let’s assume 30% of the total, that the company recently announced surpassed 30000000 units.
Now let’s be conservative and assume the problem only affects 50% of the players.
We are talking about 4500000 users that have to download, mostly in the same period of time, an average of 120GB, resulting in a total of 540 petabytes, in a period when internet usage is critical due to the quarantine, when most of the internet driven services are sensitizing users and trying to lower the usage, down the line all the way to ISPS capping the speed.
All because you didn’t want to find a way to analyze, via software that should already be capable, and correct only “broken” parts of the game, thus minimizing download size.
not only this, but you even encouraged users to download everything again. this should have been taken care in a completely different fashion.

Download the BETA Bnet Launcher there are no Disconnects or something cuz there is a new Download Manager
Hello there. I think I found what’s causing the issues. Please up vote so Blizzard can see it. There is for sure issue with ppl that already bought Modern Warfare since I copied all game files of warzone from friend that didn’t bought it. As long as you follow these steps you will be able to play the game without any major updates. Be sure to have copy of game files hidden on other partition or smth.
- Start + R and type in %ProgramData% then erase completely battle.net folder.
- Uninstall completely battle.net launcher.
- Delete whole Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder from program files x86
- Start battle net launcher installation. Don’t use your account that already has original version of MW. Create new one and proceed to installation of Warzone.
- As soon as it creates Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder in program files shut the launcher off and delete it.
- Copy and paste Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder with all game files that you already downloaded.
- Run the game from program files directory and enjoy Warzone.
It’s obviously issue that hurts only those who actually bought MW. I tried it multiple times and it worked 100%. If you try to log back into your main acc everything will collapse and launcher will start to download whole game again. You will have to follow steps above to make it playable again.
