If you cannot handle CDN levels of traffic, go to Steam or Epic or ANY OTHER THING THAN INTENTIONALLY THROTTLING TO 1KB/s!

I only get 200gb per month for my internet and we have a service that allows 2hrs unlimited download. I pay for it, so far i’ve downloaded 2gb and in 30 mins it’s over. This is pathetic and unfair.
You should let the patch be downloaded in advance.

I will never put my Money to a garage Company as you in future. Du you have the servers under your pillows? You know there is a cloud out there that can scale up this for you if you pay some Money for it Blizzard. Dont blame this on the internet. You just need not to be sooo greedy. This is shocking, massive patches weekly and slow as hell download speeds. Paid for the game when it first came out and it’s spent more time updating than I have spent shooting people!

Use a VPN and connect to US servers. That’s what worked for me.

yeah all this global internet problems comes back when u release a patch huh? do you actually expect us to belive that? it’s just your terrible servers. steam, origin and epic store working as usual, either u fix your servers or don’t think people here are just braindead or u gonna get hate just like EA.

indeed. Thats just a load of crap. I will never buy a game from this company again. And I have played wow since vanillla on and off but this really is the tipping point.

To counter the problem with the slow speed, it is usefull / recommended to use a vpn from DE to the USA.
However, when I scan the Blizzard network with my Arsenal to look at the hops and the load, it’s very amusing. This is one of the worst network construction and configuration I have seen in the past 15 years!
Instead of using real hyperconvergence and corresponding load balancers, the EU servers download on the US servers at the same time while the downloads of EU clients are running. OMFG
There are also clear discrepancies in the MTU sizes. Partly default MTUs and part jumbo frames. Seriously who does something like this ??

Why didn’t you leave cod with steam, now I won’t play anything anymore soon, because only amateurists appear as providers everywhere.
Maybe you guys should give a VPN for every license for free.

Can you please fix, or at least acknowledge the issue? It’s a pain every time an update comes out, I don’t know how to fix it, and nobody seems to care.
Why half of my friends have slow speeds and the other half download at full speed? If it’s a congestion issue, everyone should see a throttled bandwidth (?)
And why using a VPN sometimes solves the issue? Today the first 10GB downloaded at full (6MB/s) speed. Now it’s stuck at 100kB/s. Oh, and if I download any Blizzard game everything is fine, seems a MW specific issue.
But honestly, why do I have to waste so much time to be able to play this game? The issue is not on my end and the game isn’t playable.

Lol here we go again. Its now almost july and still downloads are stuck, overblown in size and utterly slow. Worst. Company. Ever.

Hello from Italy, i am under 100mb fiber wire connection, i could be wrong but this issue is not related to blizzard but Infinity Ward servers. I have many games related to battle.net and this is the only game which have this issue. The game is huge and patches are huge too. Every time i have to download a patch i remember my old time when connection pass trough BBS and the speed was awful slow. Infinity ward or blizzard must fix it.

Regarding this issue i have an 100mbps connection and I get 100-300kbps download speeds when a patch comes out. The problem is with the EU servers as when i use a paid VPN and switch to America’s server the download speed varies from 6-8 Mb/s depending on the time of the day.
I bought Modern Warfare today and i have to download 90GB to play the game and VPN is the only way. That’s sad Blizzard…

Hello from Finland, i am using 200MB fiberwire connection and i’m downloading patch at 150-350 KB/s and the time of the day does NOT effect how fast the download speed is. This has been going on for months now and i’m about to lose my mind! I don’t play everyday because i have a job too, but jesus christ when i want to I CAN’T! because of this issue. VPN does help to get 6-8 MB/s download speed but oh boy that’s far from 25 MB/s. please FIX THIS GOD DAMN IT!
BTW This is the only game i have issues with regarding download speeds.

You honestly expect us to believe there is any reason for this other than you limiting download speeds. In the time it has taken battle net to download less than 500mb I’ve downloaded a game on steam 3 times at 50x the speed.
I’ve got a 1Gbps download speed and your patch is currently downloading at 1.4MBs/s it should over 50x faster than that.

I’m from Finland too and i have same problems. Everytime when I want to play Call of duty, there is huge patch and I have to fight with downloading. I think that Battlenet is just piece of s***.
With Steam or Epic there isn’t any problem with downloading.

Not gonna use VPN-s or other stuff to gain better, but still bad speeds. They should be fixing this, not me looking for a workaround.
