Blizzard stop telling us how it’s our providers that lack the bandwidth.
Your servers in EU (Germany) are totally overloaded. I bet usage is 100% at all times.
The trick with switching the region to Asia, limiting download to 300, start/pause a couple times, then set limit to 0, that leads to 4x “level3 blizzard com” connections which gives me a total of 3.5 MB/s, still bad but better than 100 KB/s.
Sad is that the connection goes back to 300 KB/s after a while, then I need to repeat the process to get 3.5 MB/s again.
150 KB/s - Europe
3.6 MB/s - Asia - (Now 15 KB/s)
45GB patch… Won’t be able to play the game for a couple days or so at this rate.
It is very very very very very very very frustrating. I want to slap the person in charge of the updates and I hope he will be cursed with this download speed when watching adult movies. In 20 years of playing games never had this kind of issue. After many months still not able to solve the issue … money > customers.

How…HOW is it possible that these issues persist since march? I am starting to believe this can not possibly be related to inability but much more to the fact you simply don’t give a damn about it.
You know about the issue of slow and stuck downloads since months. Instead of increasing the capacity of your servers or CDN you do some bs talk about this being an overall internet problem bla bla bla. It`s just not!

It is because
a) you just refuse to buy an appropriate amount of capacity in the region here and
b) you are just too bad to direct traffic to regions with less load
which is amplified by
c) your god damn download sizes are utterly retarded overblown !
This is by far the worst experience I´ve made with a game in my life. And the sad thing is, that Activision created a pretty cool game . But the delivery of this game, which is the solve task you had, is just completely botched up!

Blizzard. Stop being to damn money hungry and buy/establish more servers. Your download speed is an Embarrassment to the online community world-wide. Shame.

It’s a simple fix to do but unfortunately, that would involve Blizzard spending some of it’s millions on server infrastructure rather than I assume hookers and blow.
We don’t see this issue on services like Steam, Epic, Origin etc. It’s an issue that was solved many years ago.
Sticking a message up about ‘we are aware of an issue’ doesn’t actually mean they’re doing anything about it. The advise is don’t do it in prime time but they then go to essentially state, it’s prime time somewhere in the world at any time.
The fix would be to stop buying the products but well, thats realistically not going to happen so we have to suck up their terrible process.

How this can still be an issue baffles me. I’m downloading COD patch on bnet with a speed of 300kbs when I have 600mbit and I get full speed anywhere else. This a god damn joke and has been the past 2 months. Fix it already

Everyone do this! Worked for me, getting around 4 MB now instead of 200kb/s
Downloading at 50kb/s or max 1mb/s. Thanks, at this rate ill download the game in a week.
The Asia trick works for a little while but eventually does slow down… If you are like me and just want the download over with, use expressvpn make the 1 month sub payment, and then when the download has finished just use their money back guarentee
I’m getting around 6-7 MB/s on the US server with expressvpn
