I had enough! This download speed triggers me so hard since day 1!!! And nothing changes until now.
I just came from work and wanna play and what did i see? An update! It runs with f****** 40kb/s with lan AGAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN!

This issue will never be fixed by them and they knew it because they’re all noobs that don’t know what to do.

when getting warsone i needed to download 95 gigs that took me 1 1/2 hours, bought the full game the same evening, another 95 gigs that took me 1 1/2 hours. fine with me, now the first update since then that is 30 gigs and this is taking me 3 hours for 11 gigs -_-

WHY are you not improving the Download Service to us customers?
ARE you NOT interested to have satisfied users and customers?
If your Services are fully busy, proof it, or are you just slowing down the download for everyone just “to prevent” an outage?..
This is really annoying and not really acceptable.
You know, for a AAA game, you definitely don’t know how to run one. I can live with Activision’s stupid business practices, but holy crap, your support is utter garbage. This has been a problem since day one and it’s still not fixed. Instead of blowing all the money you’ve grabbed from the ridiculously priced micro-transactions on crack and hookers, how about investing in actual servers that can handle the load, especially in peak times? You should know that the servers will be loaded with a lot of people because of the lockdowns worldwide, especially for a game that’s so popular and well known in the gaming industry. People know MW is a good game but they don’t know how bad you guys really are. It’s a disgrace and absolutely unacceptable that we pay £60 for this game and this is how it’s being supported. I know you guys won’t bother reading this because you guys just don’t care about people that care and love this game but come on, it’s unacceptable.

Thanks dude, worked for me. Tried everything else.
For people who dont like to watch.
Pause the download.
Go to download settings (the gear button next to pause download button), set latest update to 300.
Start download (it will start with 300 kb/s)
Go to settings again and set 0. In about 1 minute the download speed will start to increase (at least it wont get stuck)

BMP is the real MVP!
One options would be to manually edit the download speed. Basically put a value other than 0.
Or you could change from Europe to Americas before login, use a VPN and download from their server.
I still can’t believe it’s been more than a month and they did nothing to fix this and actually the community had to come with workarounds.

Try limiting your download speed to around 850kbps, I have done that and am getting around 800kbps, not great I know, but a lot better than the 50 I was getting before

40mb in 1 hour… and this issue is around for weeks now. Are you kidding me? Can’t download a patch in the year of 2020.
Not talking about your patch sizes… 10-30gb regular patches and it fails to download every f****ing time. Complete and utter joke.
Also regular disconnects here and there every game night and graphical weapon glitch for months now. In it’s actual form this game does not worth a penny…
Capping the speed or changing the server didn’t work for me, but I found a workaround by “triggering” the data influx or the connection by downloading something else in the background (e.g on Origin, capped at 50Kbps). It doesn’t make any sense from a technical pov, but I can download the MW update at 2MBps (instead of my usual 10MBps, was at 200KBps without this weird trick)

I just went to play a bit, and encountered patching, normally I get 14.5 MB/s, but now its around 130 KB/s. First time this has happened to me and none of the above work-arounds work. 32 GB / 130 KB/s = Roughly 3 DAYS! … Fix this issue soon…

8 MB/s with a 1000 MB/s connection… 0 MB/s on EU servers at least asia downloads makes progess but slow as molasses.
